I'm sorry to hear about your grandma, Marilyn.

Do you think maybe your mom was just really upset and not thinking clearly? Having to deal with funeral arrangements and emotions and all that #######, I don't know. Not trying to justify anything because that does suck, majorly, that you couldn't be there. I'm sorry. (F)

Just caught up with 3 1/2 pages of this Marilyn...I'm so sorry about your Grandma and that I haven't kept up with all the issues with your husband..what a relief it must be that he doens't have cancer, but what a thing to have to go through all this....I'm glad that something is being done. You still have to find out what is going on with his neck, right?

Thinking of you both...(((Hugs))) (F) M.

yeah, maybe.... it is just strange because she did call me when my grandpa died last year.... i am not sure why she left it up to my sis-in-law this year and why my mom didn't take my Aunt up on her offer

well, it just gets even better

i found out yesterday that my aunt had called my mom on June 4th and said that Grandma was asking for my mom and dad and wanted them to come right aways.... So my parents packed up and left for Manitoba right aways... My mom said she told both my sis-in-law and one of my brothers to email me to let me know what was going on...

My parents tried using one of those computer things where you have to insert money to check their email but it wasn't working properly.. they did get to check their email and did try to send off some emails but they weren't sure if it worked... they did wonder why I hadn't contacted them because they thought my sis-in-law had emailed me but my mom figured maybe we were away or something...

My mom said she would have called but they forgot my phone number at home and they also didn't want to bother my aunts to use their cell phones (which I doubt they would have minded) They did get a hold of my sis-in-law shortly after my grandma had died and told her to tell us... I am not sure why my sis-in-law waited a few days to get a hold of me... didn't she think that I would want to go to the funeral??

I found this all out when my dad called me yesterday, he wanted to find out why I hadn't contacted them and I told him that I had only found out the day of the funeral and my parents were kind of shocked to hear that... and they felt bad... I told them I wasn't mad at them, I know they tried and I know my mom was upset about her mom dying and probably wasn't thinking clearly....

when my dad told me that they had been there for about a week and half before she died I broke into tears when I realized that I could have been there to say good bye to my grandma :crying: ...

I am really upset with my sis-in-law right now... yeah, maybe I could have forgiven her for not letting me know sooner when I thought she only had a couple of days to get a hold of me but knowing that she had about 2 weeks, really makes me mad :blink::wacko:

I am thinking of writing her an email, not a mad email but just one letting her know how what she did made me feel....

Hey Marilyn,

I dont know if there is anything to say, Just that I am sorry for you. I can understand your anger. Maybe a letter how you feel could be delayed because you are upset (rightfully as I would be). Again I am sorry and hope things start going better for you and your family.

I'm also sorry Marilyn. (F) I just went back and read the whole thing about your Grandma passing away and how you weren't contacted until it was too late. I would feel the same way you do in that situation. I think emailing your SIL is a good idea, of course you won't want to start a big thing but it really wasn't right of no one to contact you until too late. *hugs*

i probably will write her an email but I will wait a few days so I can cool down a bit....

I wonder how she would feel if she got treated the same way if it was her grandma...

sorry If I sound like I am whining or something... I don't really have any friends to talk to about this stuff and my hubby is supportive but then he just tells me to calm down :P

so my hubby went to see the throat doctor the other day and he does have a benign cyst...

it is a cyst he had since birth.. a lot of people have them but might go there whole life without knowing it....

hubby noticed his because it got infected and swelled up.. he had dental work done in January so it might have been from that...

Anyways the doctor says he needs to take it out because now that it has been infected it will keep getting infected .... so a few weeks after hubby has his procedure for the AVM in his lung, he will have surgery to remove the cyst....

i think this is the type of cyst the doctor said he had... Thyroglossal Duct Cysts...(A thyroglossal duct cyst is a neck mass or lump that develops from cells and tissues remaining after the formation of the thyroid gland during embryonic development.)

well, in about a week, hubby will go in for this procedure....

Today I have been trying to find a hotel to stay at after his procedure...

as far as I know he won't have to stay overnight.... but we live a good 40 miles away from UCLA and with traffic etc.. that could be an hour to 2 hour drive... and we won't have had much sleep the night before etc.. and I am not very confident in driving in traffic  ... so I think it would be best if we stayed in a hotel...

my only problem is that all the hotels that are really close are either booked or they are too expensive or they have horrible reviews.... the closet one I found that is a decent price is about 6.5 miles away and roughly about a 10 to 15 minute drive according to GOOGLE maps...

I guess I will have to talk it over with my hubby when he gets home...

Tomorrows the day  ...

Please keep my hubby in your prayers and or thoughts or whatever you have......

It is just an outpatient procedure but there is a possibility that they will want to keep him overnight, it all depends on how the procedure goes...
