I am a Jamaican and I recently got approved for my k1 visa. I am planning on going ahead and get the criminal record done before being contacted by the embassy. What I want to know if it is ok to bring my US fiance to the interview. Is this allowed? If yes, does she need to make an appointment?

I'm assuming you meant that your petition has been approved. Your k1 visa is only approved after a successful interview.

You can look at the consulate info on visajourney for all the country specific information.

Our Journey:

10/2014- Visited Nigeria and he proposed!!!!
02/28/2015- Sent I-129F petition
03/05/2015- NOA1
09/2015- Visited Nigeria again!!!
10/28/2015- NOA2 (237 day wait at TSC)
11/13/2015- Sent to NVC
11/27/2015- Arrived at Embassy
06/2016- Third visit to Nigeria!
06/15/2016- Interview, given option to file I-601 waiver.
08/16/2016- Waiver submitted (no lawyer).
11/21/2016- Waiver approved with expedite.
01/2017- Embassy requested interview.
04/2017- Fourth visit to Nigeria.  K1 officially denied.
04/25/2017- NOA1 for 2nd K1.
07/27/2017- Case transferred to TSC.

The regional forum is probably your best bet:

Some places never allow the finace to come inside; others allow them in the waiting room, but unless specifically asked for, the interview is for the beneficiary only.

The embassy info page states fiances/spouses are allowed in during the interview. You can take the USC passport into the embassy with you to show they are there with you for interview.

Now that your petition has been approved you can go ahead and begin collecting the needed interview documents...police certificate, non-impedment to marriage, original birth certificate, vaccination records, etc. Once you receive your case # from NVC you can complete the DS160.

Just a side note: Your timeline has some incorrect info. You were not tranferred from Texas Service Center to California Service Center. All I-129f petitions go to the Texas Lockbox (different from TSC) before being assigned to CSC. Your consulate shows the default Armenia not Jamaica. Your profile does not list what type of visa you applied for. It should read K1.

Thank you for that! I will make the adjustments on the account. I noticed that you said I should sign up my DS-160 BUT I already have a b1/b2 visa and I had to sign up a DS-160. So with that being said, I am wondering if I have sign another Ds-160???

About the case number, I am still waiting for it from NVC. Hopefully some time this month they will contact me as I am of the belief.

Case tracker

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

You can start calling NVC at 1-603-334-0700 in about 7-10 days to obtain your case #

I would assume you would have to complete a new DS160 as you are applying for a different type of visa.
