Hello everyone! NVC sent a letter (is it a welcome letter?) with a case number to my husband last November 17, 2016 stating that they already have my case. As I search and read some thread in this forum with cases similar to mine, they are talking about having a case number and an invoice number to be able to proceed on ds261. I wonder when exactly should I expect an invoice number? Since we already have the case number, should we call NVC about the invoice number or we have to wait for a while before my PD will be current for processing? Sorry for bothering guys, just need a clarification :(

Yes that's the welcome letter. You will get the invoice number with the IV and AOS to be paid when your priority dates becomes available.

Right now it's just just a waiting period. If your spouse becomes a USC then you can always upgrade to the CR1/IR1.

Hi Jam, I just petition my husband in the PH, I receive the NOA-1 , how long did your husband waited for NOA-2? have you change your surname ? thanks

Hi Maya! I believe the average wait time for NOA2 is 5 months but it depends on which processing center is handling your case. Ours went through CSC and we waited for 3 months (please refer to my timeline) on our approval. Yes, I changed it since the beginning of our process.

Hi guys

Priority date 06/06/2016, I got my case number and invoice identification number. F2a category. I am just waiting for my priority date to be current.

Hi Exan, welcome to the thread! I see that you're a June filer. Did you call right after you receive your welcome letter or you waited at least 1 week to call after you receive it? Having a dillema if we have to call them right now or wait for further notice.

Hi JAMSantos

NVC sent me an email with the nvc case number and I called after a week to get my Invoice Identification Number.

Even you have your IIN you won't be to access the CEAC website, you can't pay any fees. You will have to wait couple months before you can pay the AOS and IV fees.
