NVC Filers - November 2016

Hoping to join you all! Received the NVC last month, and on the 25th, it was sent to NVC, so I should have the case number this month! (Fingers crossed!)

I am at Sept 30th. Nothing yet, same here, 5th week.

Just out of curiosity, out of those that are waiting for NVC in November, has anyone started the whole process (with USCIS) earlier than Jan 28th?

People with 6 weeks up you should hear back from them within a week. I got a checklist 4 days after my 6 weeks were up.

I am now supposed to supply a birth certificate from a country I am not a citizen of

Sorry i am kind of confused was that a place where you actually was born or it was a wrong checklist? Maybe you could provided an affidavit in case its unobtainable. Or usually they will give out a no record on file certificate.

I can totally relate because I can't even function at work anymore myself. As soon as I get home, i call the NVC, as soon as i wake up, I call the NVC. That's all i think about daily and its getting to me.

There has got to be a healthier approach to this. I want to burn all the calendars because dates just remind of "days to go till cc" it's killing me! I've developed major anxiety because of all this ?

Well, I just got an email from my attorney. They have forwarded my documents to the NVC. Hopefully, I will have a scan date soon.

it's going to be a long month of waiting for me. scan date less than a week and i see folks with scan dates late sept. and early oct. Wow. buena suerte people...

I submitted to USCIS (for an I-130 spousal) in Mid September. NOA2 was recieved beginning of Oct.

That was a pretty fast approval ? Congrats! You might be done in less than 6 mos. Hope all will be well for you.

I called Nvc this morning. They put our case for a supervisor review..

Now I'm praying for a faster Cc.

Good luck seems NVC is not touching any case until after 6 weeks and then they send to supervisor review. I hope you get CC by end of this week:)

I will call them early next week and finally on November 9th as this will be 1 days after the 6 weeks is up. I hope I get CC before then.

I just submitted the IV fee so now it's a wait until it shows paid so I can start DS260. In the meantime, I am putting final touches to the I-864/IV Package for electronic processing. I have 2 document cover sheets. The first one with the checklist and the second one after submitting the IV fee. Do I send both of these document cover sheets to NVC?

Thanks. I sent them a embassy issued birth certificate. I'll see what happens next. I have a feeling it will be another checklist.
