Hello! Wow, so many case completes! You guys are so lucky (:

I have a quick question; I've paid all the fees and sent both the AOS And IV packages. I believe my scan date is 11/17, but I haven't completed the ds-260 just yet (planning on submitting it by today or tomorrow), I was wondering does the case review get triggered once the ds-260 is completed and is that when the countdown to 6 weeks begins?

Or does the count down start from your original scan date, regardless of when you submit ds-260?

Thanks in advance!

It starts when your file is complete and they have all documents and also the DS-260 and all fees paid. Only when you have ticked all those boxes will they start your review clock since the documents are required to verify the DS-260. I was told by an agent that it's called 'matching'. So they go through the DS-260 you've submitted and if you state you were born on January 1, 1970 in Paris then they look through your documents to find a birth certificate that shows you were born on January 1, 1970 in Paris. That's a match. On to the next question and so on.

I called NVC just now and they said it's in documents review. it's pulled into documents review yesterday. Does anyone knows what that mean?

My understanding of document review is this is the time that the NVC staff look at the file and identify any missing documents (send checklist) or if case complete then over to supervisor review (- I think...)

I've received 2 checklists and all my outstanding documents should be at NVC tomorrow (Wednesday) so hopefully this is the last time I'll be waiting in this 6-week line....
