Not sure contacting the embassy will do you any good. Embassy will not even have your case number until NVC sends it. I was told by NVC December interview scheduling is closed.

-July 2015- my cousin from Romania introduced us via facebook(he is from Romania, moved to Austria 5 years ago, my fam is from Romania)

-September 2015-first time meeting in person

-December 2015-went to meet his fam in Austria, got engaged

-February 12 2016-had my civil marriage in Austria, my parents went with me

-April 2016- went to spend my birthday with him in Austria/Romania

-September 2016- went to Romania together for one month

18 days till my interview!!! I had my medical yesterday.

I am as prepared as I can be. Although from what I hear about London it's a quick in and out and not worth even taking any additional evidence with you.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

Case complete:)))third n/a and confirmed by phone with NVC:) Today it has been exactly 8 weeks since the scan date. We called there few hours ago and the rep said no change in our case. I checked 2 hours after that call and i saw third n/a..

NOA1: March 8

NOA 2: July 13

Scan date : September 23

Supervisor review: November 4

Case complete: November 18

Received interview email: December 1

Interview date: January 5 2017- APPROVED

AH!!!! I FINALLY GOT CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!! I am soooooooo soooooo sooooo happy!!! I already emailed the embassy in Vienna seeing if they have an open spot in December!!!! Scan date September 27! Good luck everyone!!! Keep calling and requesting to speak to a supervisor that's what I did the last couple days I kept annoying them !

Congratulations! We got CC at the same day :)

Any idea how long it takes to schedule interview from the date of CC?

30 days and interview is 60 days from that date.

No interview date yet. As I understand, they will not start scheduling January interviews until the end of the month.

30 days and interview is 60 days from that date.

That is not technically correct. It depends on the embassy. Each is on a different timeframe/caseload.

Read in my signature below for scan date. We were eligible for electronic processing which is different from many here whp are waiting a long time.

gregcrs2 -- Do you (or others) happen to know what qualifies someone for electronic processing? Is it the country you come from or something else?

10-27-2016: Case sent to NVC

NVC Stage

11-03-2016: Case received by NVC

11-14-2016: NVC case number assigned

11-16-2016: Welcome email received, DS-261 completed online

11-17-2016: AOS bill paid

11-18-2016: DS-261 reviewed over the phone

It depends at which consulate you will be interviewing. Check the website for the list of those eligible for e-mail processing: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html

Any idea how long it takes to schedule interview from the date of CC?

There's a spreadsheet in the beginning on home page you can filter by the country your embassy is in to get an average

May 5 - I-130 Received

June 17 - RFE Received

August 4 - NOA2
October 3 - USICIS sent to NVC
October 12 - NVC received (69 days in limbo)
? - case number assigned
? - AOS bill paid
? - call NVC to review DS-261 and get IV invoice unlocked
? - IV bill paid
? - submit DS-260
? - send IV/AOS package
