God bless you and all the best on your case as well. My husband is the one that has to go through the interview. He is in Jamaica. What is your scan date??

Did you have them send it supervisor's review? Keep calling today, you might get lucky today. Good luck!

Yep, I called a few times last week and they told me Friday the 11th was the end of my 6 weeks and since they were closed, to call back monday. I called first thing on monday and was placed in supervisor review. Called tuesday, no change. Gonna call in a little bit today; but the web page still shows PAID instead of the 3rd NA...

They reviewed our case today and they need my wife's "Long form birth certificate", which in the UK no one is ever given when a child is born, you have to know about it and ask for it (Her parents and her had never even heard of it). So we have to request that from her local registrar and send it in.

I asked/begged if it could just be brought to the interview to be reviewed, they said no. I asked for a supervisor and they initially put me on "hold" and then said they weren't available.

Anyone have experience like this? Should they be able to review it at the interview or is this really something that needs to be mailed in? Seems crazy since they have a certified copy of the original birth certificate my wife's parents were given when she was born. They had a copy made and notarized. I get it that it doesn't include her parents name, but it is the birth certificate everyone is given at the birth of a child. I feel like we should just be able to bring in the full version to the interview :(

While mine is for Japan, yes, we were asked for the same thing. This is what Im waiting for now from Japan. Should be here in a few days,. The other thing that bugs me about the process is that we are lumped back into the 6 week queue so instead of sending them the document and having someone look at it and close out the case we are sent back into the queue.

I asked for my case to be sent to the consulate and the agent said not until they had a copy of the form on file.

Argh.

Seems like this process is far longer than it needs to be.

Unfortunately, the birth certificate is something that needs to be verified with NVC beforehand. I had spoken to my lawyer about a similar issue and she said NVC needs to get the birth certificate beforehand.

That sucks.

Anyone have experience with how long it takes for them to review that single page document? Should I expect another 6 weeks from when they "scan it"? Seems crazy that it sat there for 8 weeks just for them to say "Oh wait ya you need to send this one longer version that isn't standard in your country".
