Looks like I'm joining this thread now. Finally got through to someone on the phone. Case received at NVC November 8, but not case number yet. It is a little astonishing in the age of electronic records that it can take up to a month to send a case from one office to another and scan it in. Sigh.

At least, I think we have all our paperwork ready to go!

On your summary information page when you log in to CEAC.

The 1st NA is gonna be under this:

"Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence"

The 2nd NA is gonna be under this:

"Civil Documents"

The 3rd NA is supposedly gonna show up under:

"Affidavit of Support Fee"

And supposedly it does not show up for those who filed electronically. I don't have mine yet, was told hopefully by the end of the week... scan date Sept 30th, 6 weeks ended on Friday Nov 11th. Was put on supervisor review as of monday morning - the 14th, at 7am-ish.

I am calling them every day. If there's nothing by the end of this week, time to resort to USCIS tactics - file ombudsman complaints, send letters to senators and congressmen, etc.. I've started this process in January and it looks like my wife will not be here in time for the holidays. Thank you DACA for grinding everything to a halt...

It does show up for those who filed electronically.

Hi fellow VJ members

Here is a quick question, I hope one of you can help me with this.

My scan date is 11/8/2016, when I called NVC yesterday - I was told that my case is currently under review and I should hear back from them within 6 weeks.

I have seen people getting 6 weeks timeline from NVC but has anyone been told that their case is under review? It might be nothing, but just curious.

Also are there any other fellow members here, who are going through employment based immigration? is there any difference in terms of NVC timeline for employment based immigartion?

I am going for EB2. I am so glad there is someone else who is employment based. My case has been with NVC for 8 weeks and still nothing.... Time and time again the reps have been telling me it will take 6 more weeks on supervisor review so I am just being patient at this point. Which consulate will you be interviewing in?

Ours was humanitarian grounds, I guess.

There are others but those are the main ones. It's a case by case basis, I suppose. And what one consulate will expedite, another one might not.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

Hi there,

I'm going through employment based as well (EB2). As far as I know, at this stage of the process, meaning once NVC has everything they need (documents and DS-260), the timeline is identical between employment based and family based cases. If there are any differences, they would incur because of your local embassy/consulate.

My scan date is 11/10/2016.

Good luck!

Thank you freetz. The reason I thought timeline can vary is because employment based cases do not have AOS fee and package involved, so may be less documents to review by NVC. But may be not.

Glad to know that I have 2 other fellow members going through employment based immigration.

Good luck to you too :)

I am EB2 as well and this NVC stage has been frustrating to say the least. We have had to resend our civil documents after being sent on 2 supervisor reviews through no fault of ours. Patience and hope is key i guess.
