Don't worry Trump was saying all these to get elected. He cannot ban people based on religion as this is unconstitutional. The US needs Muslims countries as they are allies fighting war on Terror and last I checked Pakistan is an ally. The Pakistanis have made major contribution to the US economy including the Muslims who many are in academia, private sector and the Military. The politicians exploit the people and say anything to get elected.

Wrong!!! The Constitution does NOT apply to non US citizens who are outside the country. However, I don't think any legitimate applicant should worry.

Trump has made claims that are not supported legally or by the constitution. My point was to indicate that US has laws and no one is above it. The US citizens right to petition for the spouses is not limited to only US citizens that are not Muslims as this would be unconstitutional as it would be a second class citizenship. US is a democracy and Trump will follow the laws. It's a fact that politicians make promises they can't keep to get votes but when Trump gets to the White House he will realize what he can do or not do.

Lastly Trump wife is an immigrant and I'm sure he would not be taking away the rights of US citizens to petition for their families.

I was listening to an old speech of his last night and what he said about immigration from Muslim countries was that he didn't want to have people coming in from countries where the background checks were insufficient.

A lot of people don't have any idea what he physically can and and cannot do. President, yes. Dictator, no. There are procedures in place that have to be followed if something is to become law. It isn't automatically law just because he says so.

US laws do NOT apply to non citizens who are outside the country. Of course US citizens can not be banned....but read the law below:

8 U.S.C. § 1182(f)

“Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by president. Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, the president may, by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

Do you get a CC email from NVC? Or are you supposed to call and find out?

I believe I will get a CC email but I have found that that isn't a guarantee so I call about everything.

So, I believe we will need 6 photos. 4 for the medical and 2 to carry to the interview. Any thoughts? Thanks

According to the US Embassy - Cairo site you need 5, 3 for medical and 2 for interview. My husband is planning on having 10 on hand; such a small expense compared to not having enough. The embassy you are interviewing at should have their requirements posted. I am less nervous when I am over-prepared. :)
