Does anyone have any info about expedited cases at NVC. We were approved a week ago for an expedite but 2 different reps told me they have to review our documents then it get sent straight to embassy. Ive had so many people tell me they send it straight to the embassy. Anyone know anything about that?

I guess your case is similar to mine.. i was approved expedite but asksed to wait to review documents. Did u receive any email stating that " Your country embassy is willing to expedite yoir case after receiving documents and fees" ? In that case, you still have to wait for your case complete but the moment your case is completed they will send your file same day to your embassy. So the only privilege you have is to get earliest interview date.. As per NVC, some embassies only accept expedite case once case is comepleted like mine.. new delhi

Congrats this is really great news:) thanks for sharing. So your scan date was Sept 19 and you called Nov 1st where you file was transferred for supervisor review that means it took 4 business days to get CC after Supervisor review. Quick question before today did you call NVC after November 1st?

I called last Friday and asked for an update. The woman I spoke to was very nice, she said I could call as often as I'd like that is what they are there for. I decided over the weekend I would try to call everyday since they are slow to update online for us.

Tomorrow I will call back and ask about an update on our interview, etc. Until my husband is in my arms. :secret:

The benefit of priority over interview date is huge as from CC for some embassies it can take 3 months. Quick question, what is the criteria for getting expedite approval? This will be helpful to know as the consulate that has jurisdiction over my spouse immigrant interview can take on average 3 months. Thank you.

Congrats again so 3 days CC from supervisor review is good to know; this is the case for most folks which is great hope for me as my file was put for supervisor review this morning. hopefully at the end of the week I get CC.

I'm feeling very impatient now that our case closed today. I am wondering about having my husband complete his medical exam, even though we are still waiting on the interview date. Then once we have the date, email the embassy requesting an earlier date since everything is ready? Would love feedback if anyone thinks this could backfire.

I guess i have to wait more it has been over a week since i completed ds 260 and already sent everything i dont know should i call and ask if they got my documents.

I'd call to find out what your scan date is, which seems to be very important. It's 6 weeks from that date that you can request your application go to supervisor review if they haven't finished it. I have only heard of one case that escalated to supervisor review prior to the 6 week mark.

Good Luck!

I feel like I have felt very impatient this whole time, haha! I thought the wait with USCIS was hard - now every baby step forward has me constantly refreshing and checking for new information. I'm so happy you're on the next step and so relieved to know that it's "normal" to feel impatient!

What do you mean about wondering about him completing the medical? Also, I'm sure it won't backfire, but I am also pretty positie it won't work - I'm sure a lot of people have everything ready and it just is what it is. I'm a firm believer that it doesn't hurt to try, though, and you are not in a stage where it could jeopardize anything; requesting an expedite that fails can hurt you, but simply asking for a different interview date shouldn't be a problem.

Can your husband do the medical anywhere?

The US Embassy in Egypt recommends getting your exam two weeks prior to interview. Right now their next interview date is November 13th. I have read it takes a week for the system to update our CC and send our information on to the embassy and schedule our interview. I was thinking if he gets his exam as soon as possible next week when everything updates I would notify the embassy that we were ready and could take a sooner date.

The USCIS has a listing of authorized doctors for each area.

I fear this process will slow down during the holidays and want to prod it along as much as possible!

Thanks
