Awww, sorry to hear this news as I was rooting for you. I was wondering the same about the dead aunt? What made them ask about that? I don't know much about sponsors but I hope you can take care of that and continue the process quickly. Stay the course!

Never mind, I see where you say from the call logs. Hope everything works out for you soon.

Wi ave a 221G and all the necessary forms, but we are still given the run around. One minute they say bring in the documents, and the top portion says send certain documents through DHL and schedule an appointment to bring in proof of relationship. But, the appointment unit says send everything through DHL and my husband has already taken the passport and certain documents in.

If you have your NVC case number, can you schedule the medical examination with that, ahead of the package arriving at the Consulate?

It depends on your country. Some are "yes", some are "no". Some countries just need your case number. Others want to see a copy of your "Interview" letter. You'll need someone from South Africa to verify your answer.

We finally made it to the US! POE was insanely easy - my wife just came up with me and the officer checked the docs and stamped her passport. No questions, no secondary review, etc. I will submit an offical review once I sleep. We can finally breath a short sigh of relief!

That's great news! Let us know your POE and did your wife go through with you to the US citizens line?

My husbands CR-1 interview is scheduled for December 28th; Yeah! I am planning on accompanying him to the interview in Cairo. Does anyone know if I can join him in the embassy? I see instances in Egypt where couples are allowed in but they are all for K-1 Visas? The US Embassy Cairo website says I can join him on one page and I can't join him on another? Totally confused. :sleepy:

Thanks for the comments.

I called the doctors office today, and they said that I need to wait for the interview date and invitation letter, so no chance of me getting this taken care of ahead of time.

They told me the same.

I hope this month you will hear good news!!!

I called NVC this morning. They said will start scheduling January interviews sometime next week.
