Hi everyone, HELP

Anyone had checklist email sent after confirming cc by phone?

we couldn't really understand so we are having our lawyer to check

while we will schedule your case for interview

they said that we need to submit w2 form financial evidence for 2015

however we did send it with the package ... ( for info my husband and i lived in S korea so the tax for 2015 from korea are included and we also sent them a letter from his new employer in US with his annual salary)

they are also stating TO not send anything back to NVC and to just give all the doc to the visa applicant who should present them to officer during interview

Anyone had this before :(((

Don't panic, we also got a checklist after CC!

Ours said pretty much the same thing, apart from we needed an IRS Transcript from 2015. Just make sure that you have it so that you can show them again at the interview. I panicked big time when I first saw the e-mail, but was relieved to see that they were still scheduling the interview!

Thanks MrsBurgz, but because of the expedite they said the embassy will give us the interview date and to only contact the embassy and not NVC

Ok, so whenever you get the interview date sign up asap. You have 24hrs before the interview to do so.

Is your case on ceac showing ready?

Hi All, we also got a checklist for W2 for 2015. No worries, we are just bringing a letter from my employer to the interview! I also freaked when I saw the checklist, but saw that they just want us to bring it to the interview. Good luck to you both! We are almost done!!

Kim-Indy, from what your note says, you didn't HAVE a US W-2 for 2015, right? All your income was from Korea, right? This is why you got the RFE. The checklist that NVC has requires a US W-2 and you didn't send one in, because the USC was working in Korea.

Don't worry. What is happening to you is that your file didn't EXACTLY match NVC's requirements. Just bring a written explanation for why you cannot submit a US W-2 (just write it on a piece of paper), and then have a copy of the USC's IRS 2015 Tax TRANSCRIPT with you at the interview, as well as a copy the letter from the US employer (just in case).

The NVC is very literal as they go through their document requirements. That's really what NVC is all about. So if your file doesn't exactly match up with the requirements in their book, then you get an RFE. (And often, their instruction book is outdated!)

But....they do understand that some people DON'T match their requirements exactly. That's why they are asking you to take the documents to the interview.

You'll be fine, but do get a 2015 TRANSCRIPT to take with you.

Yes you can. The stamp in your passport is your temporary green card until the plastic card arrives.

It will show 2 N/As because NVC didn't complete your case. Your case was expedited and sent it directly to the embassy. Also when you go to the ceac website click on "check my visa application status" and log in with your case number. That's where you will see all the updates with your case status. Right now it should be showing "in transit" when it's showing "READY" that means the embassy has it. Then you can contact them for an interview date.

Thank you Sukie,

well actually we did submitted the W2 which is combined of US and korea tax return and also working certificate from US company where my husband work.

it's true that 2015 income are almost from korea until 2015 October as he started working in US nov 2015.

As you said i will just take the both US and korea tax return w2 form and letter from current company .. that way they can see that he's still working there .

let's hope this will fine :)

Am now waiting for interview to be scheduled, hope this long journey will get to an end Dec ;)

Congratulation!

Click on the link below

http://www.dhl.co.in/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html

Then type * Shipper´s Reference: EXP 17 NOV 2016A or EXP 18 NOV 2016A then check the package that is being sent to your country. Based on what I read, I see most of the time they send the documents after scheduling the interview and confirm it with the embassy

Good luck hopefully the rest reach your stage but without waiting all the 6 weeks -_-
