It's especially scary because we can't do anything to control it! What I don't understand is if it's so important for us not to open it or for it to rip, why send it in such a fragile paper envelop? I mean it's so full of documents it's bound to rip. At least put in one of those thicker cardboard envelops.....

Afternoon all,

Question (or 2). I've seen a few people talking about tracking their case while it's in transit to the embassy? How does one do this?

Also, I was reading some embassy reviews (London) and some people said they were asked for proof of courier? Courier of what??? Bit confused and want to make sure I have everything!

Hi ~ I am just joining this forum...CC today! Now waiting on Interview. I'm wondering if anyone has heard how far out interviews are being scheduled for Egypt? I have been checking various places but haven't come across any recent examples. I realize that we will most likely find out at the end of the month for December, unless Egypt is behind and overflows to next year?

I am happy to be joining this group. Getting so close to the end of this saga!

Congratulations. You are added to the spreadsheet. Egypt is about a 5 month wait to be assigned a interview date after CC.

For the courier, have you registered your appointment on the website and selected a passport delivery method? You can either collect from a local DX branch free of charge or have it delivered to an address (home or work) for 18 quid. I chose the collection option as the depot is not that far from me.

Tracking it from NVC to embassy is tricky - you do it on the DHL website. Is yours in transit yet?

I have not registered my appointment...do you just do this on the US Embassy London website?

Yes, it's in transit now, woo :).

Just an update. Husband arrived last Wednesday, Nov 9. POE was Charlotte, NC. Very smooth process. Plane landed at 6:30p and he came out at 7:05. My mom took him this morn to apply for SS card. He said they told him it will take 2 weeks to receive, we expect it may be sooner per everyone who's gone thru the process. The security guard at the SS office was from JA, of course they were both ecstatic to speak patwah. LOL I'm grateful God has been looking out and the entire visa process to arrival has been very smooth thus far. All is well!!

How long did it take for you guys to change from in transit to Ready status at CEAC site? Dhl tracker says deliver Nov 11th.

To be honest, I am not sure. I was not really keeping track. So anxious for tomorrow to come already. My husband's new police clearance arrived today, JUST in time for translation.

Interview approved. God is Awesome and visa issued (Printed) after 48 hours

As long as none of them is expired or within one year from issuance no need to get a new one. But if they are then you have to. I submitted an old pcc and was reminded in my case complete letter to get an updated one.
