Congratulations! :)

Thank you SO much!!!!

You'll need to wait until J'burg gets your file. After your case status changes to "ready" you can write to the Embassy to ask for an earlier interview.

Sukie in NY

Thank you Sukie!! I will keep an eye out for the "ready" - I wasn't sure if I could email them asap or I would have to wait until the file arrived.

so last night i was on the phone with the NVC waiting listening to their annoying get catchy elevator music for 27 mins. so i decided to hang up and call it a night. i wake up this morning to a picture text from my husband and when i read it i start freaking out. i called him and we cried together !!! interview is scheduled for next month!!! dreams of holidays with hubby may actually become a reality!!:star:

thank you everyone on here who has help me and everyone else with this process. :dancing:

Congratulations!!!

:joy:I received an interview letter this morning. Our interview is scheduled for Dec 29, 2016. If possible, I will request for an earlier interview date....

Good luck to everyone!

Managed to talk to a rep after 50 minutes of waiting and right before they closed lines at 9pm EST :luv: Interview scheduled for December 20th in Johannesburg!!!!!

What is the process for requesting to reschedule for an earlier appointment if available? Do I just email the embassy directly?

So happy for everyone's journeys

Congratulations!!!!!! Please schedule your medical check ups now. Apparently it has to be 3 weeks before your interview date.

Good luck

Hello everyone,

We are done with our medical checkups today in Johannesburg. Sad news is that I have to wait for my results of sputum & smear for 6 to 8 weeks again. This will overpass my interview date but the Clinic said I must attend my Visa interview on December 8th and they will explain to them and forward them the results as soon as they got them. We will probably expect AP for that matter.

The good news is that, I will be with my other half by January or end of December. We had plans for Christmas together but due to this medical results, I dont want to keep my hopes up now.

Good luck to VJ family and all those going through the same process.

Received a letter in the mail from NVC today. It said that they have updated the addresss and email address on our case. Neither my husband nor I have asked them to change anything. The letter came to be here in the U.K. with my correct address on it.

Anyone else had a random letter like this?

I got one too last thursday.

I did some Googling about it and it seems a lot of people have had them where they have changed from CR-1 to IR-1 during the process. That is the case for us. When we started this whole thing we hadn't been married for 2 years yet but we had our second wedding anniversary in September while our file was under review at NVC. I did notice that CEAC has changed from CR-1 to IR-1 for us.

Are you in the same situation?

Congratulations!!!!!! Please schedule your medical check ups now. Apparently it has to be 3 weeks before your interview date.

Good luck

Thank you!!! Going to call first thing Monday to schedule the medical in Cape Town. Crud, I didn't realize that sputum was required - I thought it was only the xrays. Praying for fast results for you!!
