Hi everyone,

Sorry I just need to vent somewhere....It's unfortunate that after jumping through NVC bullshit for months and finally got a CC on sept 15, I thought everything would be smooth all through. I was misinformed. We are still waitinfg for interview from USEM Abu Dhabi. Based on reviews, the average wait time is 3-5 months! I still don
't know why it's taking that long to schedule interviews. People whose case completed in May just attended interview this Oct.

My biggest worry is that some of the documents might expire by then and we have to start all over again. Our police report from Nigeria was issued on March 2016. It was submitted to NVC in July 2016. My husband haven't traveled to Nigeria since then. My question is, do we need to get another PCC for the interview?

Unfortunately, expiring Police clearance is nothing new.. LPR filing for immediate relatives do not have an option when it comes to that.

Police certificate for NVC is valid for 1yr but the embassy might have different validation period.

it sucks but that's the way it is.

Check with the embassy website and state department website to find out if he may need another since he hasn't gone back.

All police clearance is valid for one year as per Embassy if the PCC is more than one year you have to get new one else no problem.It will be clearly mentioned in interview letter.It is same for all country so no need to worry about it.

But what if he never returned to Nigeria since the last police report? I guess I'm wondering if it makes sense to get a police report from a country he hasn't visited since the last PCC?

You would still need to secure one for the interview. I worked in qatar in 2010 and submitted an old PCC at NVC stage. I mentioned i was never back since then. Case completed with a checklist saying current PCC shouldbe submitted during interview
