Notification of transfer to NVC

Has anyone actually received notification that their application has been transferred to the NVC after NOA2? Looking in the app, I-130's that were approved 2+ months ago aren't showing that they've been sent to the department of state, merely just showing approved. Just trying to figure out when to begin calling for a case number.

Yes, my case updated to "My Case Was Sent to the Department of State." They send them in batches, so it can take from 1-4 weeks, sometimes even longer. You can call NVC with your USCIS case number and they can confirm if/when they have received your application. If they have not, I would call USCIS and asked to be connected to a tier 2 rep to ask where your file is physically located at this time.

Yes, very aware that my NOA2 was recent. I meant that I checked a list of I-130's with NOA2 dates from 2 months ago that still just said "approved" and were not sent to NVC. The question was do most people get their status changed to "Sent to Department of States" or is it common that the status never changes from "Approved" but it gets sent anyway.

Just an update here. I realized that when I-130's are transferred to the Department of State they no longer show up when you search by case number range on the app. My case got transferred today which is how I noticed.
