Hi,

I'm having a hard time finding a way to pay for the I-129F form from abroad (Poland). Are there any options besides asking someone in the US to mail a check to me? Does USCIS accept Western Unions money orders? If so, would one purchased online work - https://www.westernunion.com/us/en/send-money/start.html

I could also purchase Western Union MO in Poland, but that will probably be drawn on a non-US location. Another option I'm thinking about is calling Citibank which has branches in Poland and asking them whether they could issue a check based in the US. How would I know that the issued check will meet the requirements of USCIC?

Welcome to the forum.

Many folks send their complete petition packet to a friend or relative in the US. The friend or relative pays with a check properly made out, inserts into the packet, and mails the packet to the Lockbox facility. They then settle up with the friend or relative later.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

I'm in Vietnam and its practically impossible to do if living here, I had to go to 10 different banks, however I got lucky, found one bank that aloud it and I was able to purchase a Bank Draft/Check Drawn on Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, mailed that in and it was without issue, had interview today and was approved today!

So I would recommend going into a bank or two and asking to purchase a draft....Make sure it is in fact drawn on a US bank, That is the Stipulation.

Congratulations and thank you! How do you make sure the check is drawn on a US bank? Is this written on the check, or do you have to rely on what the bank employee says?

The Bank Draft I had said Chas e Manhattan Bank with the new york address on it, not positive but when drawing a "USD" BANK draft it will be drawn on a US Bank, I used Vietcomm bank here in Vietnam, the bank system here is a closed system even CITIBank here would not allow this....I did provide the copy of my I-129F To show purpose and they provided the draft, perhaps ask your bank for a USD draft drawn on a US bank, you may have to go to a few banks, but it should be easier in Poland than Vietnam, as foreigners are typically not aloud to convert Vietnamese Dong to USD without purpose.

It looked like a buisness check, they printed the Infomation, It needs to be personized to;
