Changing Country During K1

Hi All,

I originally started the K1 visa process while being based in Glasgow with my respective consulate being London. We have received our NOA2 but have not received notice from the NVC yet.

My question is then, if I was to relocate to Switzerland for the winter on a ski instructor program, would that adversely affect the K1 visa? From what I have been able to find so far, it should not be a problem and would require my USA fiancé to get in touch with the NVC and ask them to change the consulate from London to Bern. Would anyone else be able to confirm my interpretation or would the relocation cause delays in the K1?

Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

If your case is not on the way to the embassy yet, it should not cause delays. Your USC fiance simply contacts NVC and gives them your new address.

Remember that you need to be legally resident in the country you want to do your medical and interview in.
