Long story short, my american Fiancée understood " family name" to be her last name at birth. However, she got married, changed her last name, and has kept her ex husbands last name after her divorce. On the I-129F form, she put her maiden name under Family name, and her Family name she put down under " other names used".

We got the NOA2 last week. Do you think this is going to be a problem later on? Its an honest mistake, and of course her SSN, date of birth and her certificate of naturalization number is on the form. I'm torn by trying to fix this or just letting it be (Don't want to wake up any sleeping dogs)

If her name is maria scott and married it was maria jennings

Under family namea she would put jennings

And under maiden scott

But the 329 she had to put given name scott and other names know as jennings.

Thats what i did.

What exactly do you mean? On Question 1.A of I-129F she put Scott and under 9.a she put Jennings.

The same thing happened with me. All the paper work came back as my maiden name. Everything has been approved and I can now schedule an interview. Because my legal last name is not my maiden name, I am doubtful that they will accept my paperwork at the interview. I'm thinking that we may need to start the whole k1-visa application over. Can you tell me what happened with yours please.
