I have seen it mentioned on here many times, age is just a number.

I hope that's true :)

My fiance and I have about the same age difference. we had about 4 red flags. still got approved. don't worry! the officer didn't even ask me about it :) good luck

Aww that's cool and cheering!

Thank you so much :)

Age difference should not matter but once the older woman is past childbearing years is does bring about questions in the mind of the CO. Be sure that your fiancé addresses this issue in her letter of "HOW WE MET" statement. Explain that you do not want children etc and that both families have accepted the age difference. On its own it is not a reason for denial but if there are other red flags it becomes more crucial.

Aha, well actually we have no plans for making kids for many reasons.

Thank you for your advice :)

I don't know why you are coaching them on this. They should put whatever is the honest truth about their relationship, not what is most likely to have it accepted by the CO. The chance of legitimacy are already not high and it could border on instructing them on how to commit fraud.

No seriously, she's not coaching me or anything. We actually have no plans for making kids, we just need to be together :)

Thanks all :)

So her youngest is 20, how old is her oldest child, older than you?

I realize this is subjective, but how is she in the looks department? Healthy, fit, looks way younger than her years?

I think she should come post on the forum so we can help her with some of the filing questions.

Hello everyone
I'm 25 years old man from morocco, and my fiancee is 19 years older than me, we knew each others for almost 1 year, and last month we met person to person and stayed with me for a couple weeks.
I heard that our age difference could make my k1 visa denied. How true is this ?
what do you advise me guys ? I don't want us to waste time and money on k1 visa and get it denied due to our age gap.
or maybe we should go through CR1 ?
Thanks a lot!

There is a 14 year difference between my fiancee Duong and I. She is 26 and I am 40. Our fiancee visa petition was approved by USCIS this month. I would advise you to go with the petition and make sure you have evidence of ongoing relationship such as phone call records, chat logs, ticket stubs of your travel to visit your fiancee. Wish you the best of luck.

Morocco is a high fraud country, Germany is not. Completely different ballgame and shouldn't really be compared.

99.9% of people will get their petition approved. It's the interview where red flags can or will be addressed.

My fiancé and I have a 26 year gap, it was brought up in the interview that my daughter was a month older than she was, we were however approved, although large age gaps are common in the philippines

There is a HUGE difference between a man being older and a woman being the older one in the couple for a variety of reasons, mostly cultural but also biological.

OP you have a chance. It is hard to go through this embassy for anyone. Casablanca is a strict embassy because of so much fraud. However, CR1 might be better and it might not be. K1 may work for you. You don't know until you try. Many people have been approved by only meeting once for a short period of time and being much older than their future husband from Morocco. but I have met 5 or 6 couples through VJ that are much older than their fiance. That had no problems at al. I know many just by posts that are the same age and were denied. No matter which way you go evidence is what the CO wants to see. The CO like any other country wants to know your relationship is real. Just be prepared for a lot of questions no matter which route you go. No one can tell you if you will or will not be denied. Some people with the most solid cases are denied. Unfortunately, that is what happens with Middle Eastern and North African countries. They are high fraud and tough for a reason.

You will need to prove that your relationship is real. And because you're from Morocco it's much harder than if you were from Europe or the Philippines. Adil and Jeanne offered you good advice and have a lot of experience in a similar situation. They were approved but I don't believe it was easy/fast for them. I'd visit the Morocco portal and read some of the other posts. I'd also read the embassy reviews. As stated above, it's a tough embassy but no one can accurately predict how your specific case will go. Good luck

Where do you get your info from? Do tell? Telling OP he has "zero chance" and that even a CR1 is a long shot....Along with telling him in all words his relationship is not valid is well not very accurate. There are many cases approved that are older and met once for a short period of time. It is a hard embassy but many people with harder cases have been approved. People with rock solid cases same age and been together for years have been denied.

I had 4 children when my husband met me. He came here and has taken on the part of being a stepfather to my 4 kids. Id focus more on the age gap, than the children. As far as the CR1 or k1, Morocco has been approving k1 more it seems now, than the CR1. It's crazy because in the past it was the opposite. Not sure why, but I've noticed it a lot.

Me and my husband's age difference is 8 years, we made it. It'll be fine as long as the relationship is proven genuine. Just do your best to show all proof and evidence.
