Not their database directly...oh boy, if I could do that, this would be so simple! lol No, I wrote some code to scrape their site...it's basically the same underlying process as the mobile apps. Then I just output the I-129Fs and their date and status to a CSV. I'm using AWS to avoid the IP bans every 4k requests or so (I throttle to 1 request per second to avoid putting too much stress on their system).

Thank goodness you are here! I'm looking forward to the database you will be making.

Either that or an expedite. You can request that if your fiancé(e) or you are in very poor health, if the beneficiary's country is in a crisis, or if the petitioner has deployment orders with the U.S. military. A congressional, which usually also results in an expedite, is less likely, but nonetheless an option. Oh, hopefully, USCIS picks up their pace again and starts approving even more cases a day this week than they did last week... Have a great start into this new week everybody!

I believe your/his timeline needs to be updated to show CSC (California Service Center) - Texas is just the intake office it is then worked by CSC and not an official transfer.

5 months is NOT normal for approval of the I-129F however at present time it could very well take you 5 months from start to finish as in VOH (Visa in Hand)

Welcome aboard.

Jim

Thank you I have updated my info :)

Its now been three months since we got the confirmation letter and my partner is coming here in 3 weeks to visit so we are hoping to hear something before he arrives. Im a little concerned though as we didnt come across this website until after the application was sent and I am worried we didnt provide them with enough proof of the relationship. We only included a statement on how we met and plane tickets for him and myself to prove we have visited each other. I guess the only thing that will happen is they will come back and ask for more information however this will delay the process even more :(

That's essentially what my fiance and I submitted. We wrote a letter, stating how we met and a timeline of all the traveling we've done in the last 2 years, and digital copies of 5 pictures, with a date stamp to coincide with the letter/timeline provided. We also made sure to include photos with pretty unavoidable landmarks in each respective city we've visited (i.e. Niagara Falls, Disneyland, CN Tower, etc.). It would be hard to "debunk" those photos. We figured we would have heard something in terms of an RFE by now, but nothing. At this point (after all this waiting), it would be pretty upsetting to receive an RFE vs. an NOA2. But if it happens that way, that's ok. We are OVER prepared!!!

Posted

We didn't even submit pictures (largely because we don't really have all that many; we just forget to take them...). But I also made a list with all the meetings we've had (time period and place / country  / region) in the last 12.5 years, I included the digital copy of my I94 (current passport), boarding passes for the both of us for a flight within the U.S., and train tickets from Germany... If we get an RFE, I guess, it would be because there is one box on the i-129F that we forgot (and that's really upsetting because I went over the whole thing about 20 times before submitting).

Can you provide the link? I couldn't find it nowhere. This is creating a panic? lol

I only found this link: http://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-poised-to-wield-executive-power-to-make-immigration-changes-1485116367

Which was released yesterday. but only talked about

Cut funding for sanctuary cities

End DACA protections

Reject refugees

Speed up deportations

Announce a border wall

Toughen rules for Central American migrants

Tighten legal visa system: The Obama administration allowed spouses of certain skilled foreign workers to work as well. It also expanded a program that lets foreign students stay in the U.S. while looking for work. Both policies could be reversed.

Are we affected by this? We are entering US in legal way. SO i hope not.

Hi art,

Whatever happens inside USCIS we can't really tell. If there's a hold-up due to system change, we can't do anything but wait :( it's just unfair to us cos we have submitted our application way before the new presidency and if they'd act fair (which of course this will depend on trumps' order), They would stop accepting any application from all different kinds of US visa applications and don't leave us hanging and waiting. Whatever it is it worries me.

But then I don't want to over react since there's no solid statement to back up this theory.

Let's hope for the best. I don't see any reason why would they stop accepting legal process. Worse case is just a delay.

Yes, the waiting thing is getting out of control, one of us called to find out about it, they told him to call in five months. It is not five months to complete the process but for someone to look at your file. Unfortunately wouldn't expect anything in coming weeks.

Hey everyone!

Congratulations to the couples that got recently approved!

I'm sure everyone here has already considered and is well aware of this, but I wanted to point it out, just in case.

Are we all using the same dates for NOA1 and NOA2 in our precious timelines? I don't know if everyone is using the same date (the official NOA1 OR the text/e-mail date OR the date the letter arrived).
For example, when creating our timeline, we decided to use our official NOA1 date, the one printed out in the official notification received by mail. We didn't use the e-mail's notification date, nor the date of the official letter's arrival.

Whenever I check the timelines, I can't help but wonder if most of us is using the same date or not.

This could change things a bit, not a drastic change of course, but it could lead to slight differences when using the timelines for any purpose (predictions, just as a reference, etc).

May USCIS give us many approvals soon!

15 hours ago, JimJesDuma said:

Hi, great question. The answer is when VJ created the timeline inputs it specifically stated to use ONLY the letter on your NOA 1 which is in the upper right hand corner (used to be left corner) of the hard copy.

THAT is your official NOA 1. Not the date USCIS received our cases, Not the date of an email or the date the letter arrived in the mail.  NOA 1 is the DATE on the Form I-797C.

Having said this many people here are using the wrong date but it will only be off by a few days. I think it's important for people to all use the correct hard copy dates to give us the most reliable info.

Jim

Hi Jim and amoeba&md,

I've also seen a few people transpose the month with the day.  Most of the world does DD/MM/YYYY, and we Americans (plus I don't know who else...), we do MM/DD/YYYY.  So, I've seen people, probably out of habit, transpose the months and days.  For example putting April 1st 2017 instead of January 4th 2017 for an NOA date.  I've seen a fair share of fat fingering as well.  So there is always a little bit of 'bad data' when there is self reporting.  This messes with our calculated timelines if the NOA is off, but probably not significantly.
