Hey everyone!

Congratulations to the couples that got recently approved!

I'm sure everyone here has already considered and is well aware of this, but I wanted to point it out, just in case.

Are we all using the same dates for NOA1 and NOA2 in our precious timelines? I don't know if everyone is using the same date (the official NOA1 OR the text/e-mail date OR the date the letter arrived).
For example, when creating our timeline, we decided to use our official NOA1 date, the one printed out in the official notification received by mail. We didn't use the e-mail's notification date, nor the date of the official letter's arrival.

Whenever I check the timelines, I can't help but wonder if most of us is using the same date or not.

This could change things a bit, not a drastic change of course, but it could lead to slight differences when using the timelines for any purpose (predictions, just as a reference, etc).

May USCIS give us many approvals soon!

Hi, the date I used is the one in the letter.  Nov.  21st.

Just as a heads up...I wrote a quick script to extract all the I-129Fs and pull their statuses. Once extracted (which may take days due to IP bans), I can start pulling the data on just those records daily so we can have a more comprehensive idea of what's going on daily (instead of just a few people pulling a couple ranges).

Thank you, that's awesome and really helpful to those of us who don't know how to do this kind of thing.  Much appreciated!

Hello Jim!

I'm actually originally from Manila Philippines. Resident of Singapore for 6 years now, working as a designer. I don't even wanna go back Philippines to be honest haha. Singapore is my life now. If it wasn't for my fiance I wouldn't even agree to move to the states since I'm well situated here. Alex and I met on some online gaming back in 2014 :) but since we were dating someone back then, we didn't happen quickly. Funny thing she was dating a Pinay from Cali,. Til she end up with another Filipina ?. Me. She lived with me for 6 months here and went back to Pennsylvania last Oct to start working with the petition.

You should visit here Jim, you and your fiance! Filipinos doesn't need visa and stuff to fly here.. Yes, it's multicultural here, you will enjoy the wide selection of food. Small city yet very rich in terms of culture. It's very expensive though. Alex kept complaining about the prices. And kept saying in the states. In the states. ??

.. I got fed up saying. Its Singapore!!!

It's kinda rough for us right now. Both in emotional rollercoaster. Can't blame each other tho. As she work two jobs. I'm dying for the approval. Without noa2, I can't go on with other documents that I need to settle.

Hope you find this little story of mine amusing hahaha.

Valerie

I'll just PM you.

I'm sorry but I think they really meant call them if you haven't heard about your NOA2 in five months from filing. (See some earlier posts - it's officially now 6 months before you are supposed to start chasing your NOA2).  There are still around 850 cases to be processed with receipt dates of 31st October to 4th November.  There are 750 cases for the following week (it was a four day week).  This week we saw around 60-70 cases processed for the wc 31st October.  I am certain the rate will increase - because it has to - other wise it will take another 14 weeks just to clear the cases up to 4th November.  Our receipt date is November 9th and I am planing to chase it if I haven't heard anything by the beginning of April.

We can see what is happening by using the apps - and the posts here.  I am not hopeful that we will get our NOA2 before the end of March.  My advice would be to keep checking back on here - as several of us are checking batches of case numbers to see how much work is being done on any given day.  This at least will reassure you that your case hasn't been forgotten - there are probably another 3000 november i-129f filers all waiting too.

I am looking forward to the day when we see as many cases processed as filed - otherwise the December and January cases could take until well into next year - and i'm quite sure the csc has targets that they are supposed to meet and can't let that happen.

We know from other posts that it is possible for one csc officer to process up to 30 i-129fs per day - so really just putting a handful of officers on for a few days would start to clear these quite quickly.  The question is whether they will.

Trying to stay hopeful in spite of the current statistics.  Keeping everything crossed that I get my visa in time for my wedding!

Excellent post.

Thanks for this.

Almost Monday.

Just read the news, seems like all of our files will be deposited in a storage, and emigration will be working on deporting most illegal south Americans and others. .Personally, will give my petition two more months after that will notify my fiancee of change of plans. Live is a bit**.  In my dream, I thought I head it :(

Hi jim. Thank you for answering. Im just wondering.. What do you mean by digitally sign it?

You fill this out on-line

https://ceac.state.gov/GenNIV/Default.aspx

You don't print it out and physically sign it.

So at the end it says for the foreigner applying for the actual visa to "click" to sign.

No pen and ink just on-line signature.

If the person in US hit the magic button instead they may track it via ISP location and then deny visa.

I'm not a tech guru but best to do what it says.

My god my wallet is already screaming... I also have 2 file 2 years of taxes.. which is gonna cost me a good 340 dollars.I do have a special question for u since u already went thru this.....does the interviewer already have ur file reviewed before u walk in ...or do they do further digging.

Hi Mzladyq,

If you have just W-2's you can do your taxes easily on-line for free. If you have investment property, stocks, or self employed then maybe a professional is needed.

I think you mentioned being a teacher so maybe you can do it via turbo tax or you can PM me for more help. Save that $$$ but yes you need to file your taxes.

This is for everyone. Always file your taxes on time April 15th in most years EVEN if you can't afford to pay because there is a significant penalty for Failure to File timely.

The interviewer will have access to nearly everything you already sent to USCIA with the I-129F but they do a lot more digging on the petitioner at that point.

Hi, great question. The answer is when VJ created the timeline inputs it specifically stated to use ONLY the letter on your NOA 1 which is in the upper right hand corner (used to be left corner) of the hard copy.

THAT is your official NOA 1. Not the date USCIS received our cases, Not the date of an email or the date the letter arrived in the mail.  NOA 1 is the DATE on the Form I-797C.

Having said this many people here are using the wrong date but it will only be off by a few days. I think it's important for people to all use the correct hard copy dates to give us the most reliable info.

Could you provide a link to your source?  I checked the news and it looked similar to what we have been seeing for months.  I didn't see anything that led me to believe that there would be changes to fiancé visas.

Wow, I've just finished filling out the DS-160 form (thanks for the suggestion, Jim), and it required me to list ALL of my previous U.S. travel... Now, that took me a while... My fiancée and I have known each other for over 10 years, and while we now look back and admit that we fell in love right when we first met, rationality had taken over for years, and we were "just friends" (or trying to be anyway) because there was no way for us to be on one continent, let alone one country. Nonetheless, we have always regularly visited each other, and ever since our relationship "officially" changed to "something more serious" about 2.5 years ago to "something serious" about 2 years ago to "something very serious" about 1.5 years ago, and then to "engaged" in spring of last year, visits have increased tremendously... Writing this down here makes me hope and pray even more that we really are on the final stretch of being separated after all these years. I know I usually try to come off as patient and full of hope, so please forgive me my five seconds of tantrum: I WANT OUR NOA2!!!

Yes don't leave any travel out. Add as many pages for continuation as needed.

LDR are never easy as we all know.

You are almost there. Hang on.

Feel free to vent that's what this thread is for amongst other things.

Excellent we would love to see this.

I tried the VPN app and it works like a charm to make the IP issue a non-factor.

maybe my terminology is not correct but here is how it works. It says "click here" to sign and verify that you are the visa applicant .

You just click the box and agree. That is all.

There is no cursive signing like when UPS brings by a package. Sorry if I made it more confusing then it should be.
