so on the uscis website it says to go to ur local office for questions on ur case... has anyone done this before? I dont recall anyone on here talking about going their local office.

Many USCIS offices will not even let you in without an appointment. There is really nothing for them to tell you at this point MzladyQ.

All they will say is I-129F approve and to contact NVC in 30 days or wait to here from them (don't do that last part).

If I were you 10 days from today I would start calling them everyday to get the NVC case number.

In the meantime, and I may have mentioned this already, start filling out the DS-160 but your Fiance has to digitally sign it.

A lot of the process will be for him to do but you can work on it together.

Oh and get out your wallet LOL

Hello! I have a question about d-160. Can the petitioner fill this out? Or does it have to be the beneficiary? Thank you

Either of you can fill it out but ONLY the foreigner can sign it. (digitally)

It's best to work on it together.

Hope this helps.

I believe your/his timeline needs to be updated to show CSC (California Service Center) - Texas is just the intake office it is then worked by CSC and not an official transfer.

5 months is NOT normal for approval of the I-129F however at present time it could very well take you 5 months from start to finish as in VOH (Visa in Hand)

Welcome aboard.

Jim

Thanks Jim!

Maybe they meant 5 months total but i will get him to call again in a few weeks just to be safe :)

Hello Jim!

I'm actually originally from Manila Philippines. Resident of Singapore for 6 years now, working as a designer. I don't even wanna go back Philippines to be honest haha. Singapore is my life now. If it wasn't for my fiance I wouldn't even agree to move to the states since I'm well situated here. Alex and I met on some online gaming back in 2014 :) but since we were dating someone back then, we didn't happen quickly. Funny thing she was dating a Pinay from Cali,. Til she end up with another Filipina ?. Me. She lived with me for 6 months here and went back to Pennsylvania last Oct to start working with the petition.

You should visit here Jim, you and your fiance! Filipinos doesn't need visa and stuff to fly here.. Yes, it's multicultural here, you will enjoy the wide selection of food. Small city yet very rich in terms of culture. It's very expensive though. Alex kept complaining about the prices. And kept saying in the states. In the states. ??

.. I got fed up saying. Its Singapore!!!

It's kinda rough for us right now. Both in emotional rollercoaster. Can't blame each other tho. As she work two jobs. I'm dying for the approval. Without noa2, I can't go on with other documents that I need to settle.

Hope you find this little story of mine amusing hahaha.

Valerie

I'm sorry but I think they really meant call them if you haven't heard about your NOA2 in five months from filing. (See some earlier posts - it's officially now 6 months before you are supposed to start chasing your NOA2).  There are still around 850 cases to be processed with receipt dates of 31st October to 4th November.  There are 750 cases for the following week (it was a four day week).  This week we saw around 60-70 cases processed for the wc 31st October.  I am certain the rate will increase - because it has to - other wise it will take another 14 weeks just to clear the cases up to 4th November.  Our receipt date is November 9th and I am planing to chase it if I haven't heard anything by the beginning of April.

We can see what is happening by using the apps - and the posts here.  I am not hopeful that we will get our NOA2 before the end of March.  My advice would be to keep checking back on here - as several of us are checking batches of case numbers to see how much work is being done on any given day.  This at least will reassure you that your case hasn't been forgotten - there are probably another 3000 november i-129f filers all waiting too.

I am looking forward to the day when we see as many cases processed as filed - otherwise the December and January cases could take until well into next year - and i'm quite sure the csc has targets that they are supposed to meet and can't let that happen.

We know from other posts that it is possible for one csc officer to process up to 30 i-129fs per day - so really just putting a handful of officers on for a few days would start to clear these quite quickly.  The question is whether they will.

Trying to stay hopeful in spite of the current statistics.  Keeping everything crossed that I get my visa in time for my wedding!

Hey everyone!

Congratulations to the couples that got recently approved!

I'm sure everyone here has already considered and is well aware of this, but I wanted to point it out, just in case.

Are we all using the same dates for NOA1 and NOA2 in our precious timelines? I don't know if everyone is using the same date (the official NOA1 OR the text/e-mail date OR the date the letter arrived).
For example, when creating our timeline, we decided to use our official NOA1 date, the one printed out in the official notification received by mail. We didn't use the e-mail's notification date, nor the date of the official letter's arrival.

Whenever I check the timelines, I can't help but wonder if most of us is using the same date or not.

This could change things a bit, not a drastic change of course, but it could lead to slight differences when using the timelines for any purpose (predictions, just as a reference, etc).

May USCIS give us many approvals soon!

I used the official date on my document.  My received date is Nov. 21 (which seems to be the date the app uses), but I put Nov. 25 because it was the date on the hard copy of my NOA1.

Wow, I've just finished filling out the DS-160 form (thanks for the suggestion, Jim), and it required me to list ALL of my previous U.S. travel... Now, that took me a while... My fiancée and I have known each other for over 10 years, and while we now look back and admit that we fell in love right when we first met, rationality had taken over for years, and we were "just friends" (or trying to be anyway) because there was no way for us to be on one continent, let alone one country. Nonetheless, we have always regularly visited each other, and ever since our relationship "officially" changed to "something more serious" about 2.5 years ago to "something serious" about 2 years ago to "something very serious" about 1.5 years ago, and then to "engaged" in spring of last year, visits have increased tremendously... Writing this down here makes me hope and pray even more that we really are on the final stretch of being separated after all these years. I know I usually try to come off as patient and full of hope, so please forgive me my five seconds of tantrum: I WANT OUR NOA2!!!
