Hi all. I've been creeping on this forum for the last few weeks. My NOA1 receipt date is maddeningly close yet at this rate feels so far...November 7.

I'm hoping they'll step up the pace. Three months for one weeks' worth of applications seems rather ridiculous/unsustainable. I bet they're still tied up in some pre-Trump stuff. Hopefully he wont halve the number of employees at USCIS! (ok, keeping it apoliitcal...)

Chelley, why are you figuring 3 months at the consulate? Is that for London in particular or all consulates? I thought once the consulate receives our case from NVC the interview is scheduled w/in, like, a month at most, and then (should all go well) w/in a week our partners get their passports back?

According to IGOR's list (thanks Igor where ever you are LOL) the latest November approval based upon NOA 1 was for Brittney & Sam with a reported NOA of November 10th.

I'm wondering if their NOA 1 is correct though as the sent date was Oct 28th. They may have put NOA 1 as date they physically received there paper NOA 1 as opposed to the "issue date" on the NOA 1 hard copy.

Maybe they are reading and can clarify. Regardless it does happen that cases from way ahead of the crowd get approved and this is normally due to congressional or expedite approval.

I am building in the maximum time - I think the consulate has to process the visa within 90 days of receiving the application.  So I am looking at this as worse case scenario - It seems to be taking aorund 65-70 days for London at the moment.

i don't believe on this. They been approving some november cases already. on my date there are 145 cases .. 1000 application per week in november aint true. where do you see this information?

I have run the dates - I posted the figures last Saturday.  Mondays have a high number of applications - usually more then twice the number of applications for other days of the week because of the weekend catch up with the post.

These were the figures I posted as correct last Saturday (as you can see - 978 i-129s for the week beginning 31st October and similar pattern for the following week).  These have changed a little since then - there have been about sixty more cases processed for the 31st October I think.  Five more for November 1st...

I don't think that's correct. We're only seeing x per day, but we aren't checking every single date every day. I also don't see anywhere near those numbers, especially the 1000/week. Are you counting all applications or only I-129Fs? The I-129Fs are the only ones we counting here....the others process at their own rates and by other teams.

See my previous post for the figures.  I have been checking the dates and batches and there is little more movement than this.  There were 978 cases (i-129) in the wc 31st October.

There is a five month limit?  for how long cases are waiting for NOA2?

How do you know that?

Forena

Scroll down to I-129F

These are just tactics to prevent USCIS from having to act on every call or case inquiry including congressionals regarding "what the heck is going on with my K-1"

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do

In general it will NOT take 5 or 6 months to process NOA 2 maybe if you have RFE and don't respond timely or you case gets lost.

I have just done a bit of googling and it looks as though only government departments in DC get today as a holiday.  Although California notes it as a legal holiday - their office for EDD (employment?) states that is open as usual - so fingers crossed!  With the backlog of cases they currently have, I would imagine that they'd have to be putting staff on overtime in order to not run the risk of hitting their five month limit within the next two or three months.  I guess we'll know in a few hours when the first cases are logged (or not)

The Federal building here in Seattle was closed early due to Protestors . Not sure if the same is true for CSC. Hope not.

I ran the app and normally there are RFE's by this time of day 4PM PST.

I checked and the only thing I saw was 1 case withdraw for I-129F acknowledgement sent today 1/20

Hopefully another 15-20 case for 10/31 today but I would not be surprised if it were ZERO to 5 with all the activity on distractions or people on leave to watch the event TV/Radio/Internet regarding the new Prez. - Hope I'm wrong.

No, I mean six months for the NOA2. Then i'd expect another four months for NVC and consulate/embassy before getting the visa.

At the moment they are processing/touching about 25 i-129 cases per day.  There are about another 850 cases for the week beginning 31st October which have not yet been touched.  That alone would take another 34 working days of processing at this rate (7 weeks before they even get to the 7th November received applications). There are around 1000 applications per week in November - which would take 8 weeks to process one week of applications at 25 per day.  They have to increase the rate at which they process these or the backlog will be increasing by two months every week!

Lets hope someone at csc is looking at this and doing what they need to do...  This is the first day I have really started to worry...

Chellyandaaron,

Oh, ok.  Yeah, that is a long time.  Here's to less than 7 weeks!  And less than 6 weeks for me!

Cheers,

Hey no sleeping LOL.. you can sleep when NOA 2 arrives that is what Red Bull is for .:D

I just looked at IGOR's list and noticed 4 approvals for LAST Friday the 13th but only 1 for the Friday before that Jan 6th although that 1st week of January was when they were on Holiday mode.

Thanks for keeping everything crossed. I may have to cross my legs tonight after all this red bull.

From the figures provided by Chellyandaaron, there are 1363 K1 cases remaining for the dates Oct. 31st to Nov. 9th.  This averages to about 200 cases per weekday.  Since my NOA 1 date was Nov. 22nd, there should be about an additional 1800 cases for Nov. 10th to Nov. 22nd.  This totals 3163 cases remaining through November 22nd.  At an average of 25 cases processed per day, that leaves 126 workdays until all are processed.  With an average of 20 workdays per month, that means that I won't see the NOA 2 for more than 6 months from now (8 months total).  I can't even imagine how the people that filed in December and January are feeling right now.  USCIS seriously needs a kick in the butt.  Did they go from 8 people processing K1s to only 1 person?

They spent about 4 weeks approving about zero I-129F's  in late December and early January. That is why there is a back up now.

I think next week we will see them back on track with 30-50 approvals a day or I may just be in dreamland as I've made failed predictions for CSC in the past.
