I see you're still waiting, too, JimJesJuna. I check everyday for the NOA2. It seems like we are part of a cohort (early Nov NOA1's) that is on the slow track; whereas people who received their NOA1's in October are getting theirs much faster. I don't know. Maybe I'm just imagining it.

Nope not your imagination at all LOL

We both filed at one of the worst times. I guess earlier in the year the wait was up to 80-90 days or so but after that it had been around 45 days and we are now nearing 80

Maybe later this week or later next month.

Who knows

P.S. I'm also excited because my fiancé just applied for his passport today!  Yay!  He decided to just go get it now because we were afraid the lines were going to get longer since the "Wet foot, Dry foot" policy got lifted.  They told him to pick it up in 3 weeks.  So, I guess we can fill in that part of the DS-160 when he gets his passport.  Exciting!

We all do, I guess... At least we see some movement on our petitions and dates now, although yesterday's was basically just RFEs. But honestly, I would much rather get an RFE at some point (and rather soon) than being in a limbo and made to believe that they lost our petition again... For the moment, though, I am hopeful and keep myself busy with my job and the organization of me moving away from my country (lists of stuff to get rid of, etc.); that usually helps. Hope all of you have something to distract yourselves from the painful wait as well.

How is it that the "timeline" shows they are processing K-1's with NOA1 dated November 25th, when they havn't even touched 90% of the November petitions?

Where is this data coming from???

I hope so. My fiance is so hopeful. I started by telling her we had to be patient. But for the last two weeks, it's been...ok, maybe this will be the week! Now it's...maybe today! Fingers crossed for me and for you too!

Ok because I am so impatient I went ahead and ran the iPHONE USICS APP today.

It currently shows 3 RFE's issued today for cases received on 10/31 so it appears as RFE's are added to the system throughout the day (it's 12:30PM here and at CSC) but so far I have not seen if that is the case with approval notices as those seem to come later in the day.

I'll monitor again in a few hours.

Keep those toes crossed to..haha

Hello down there in Oregon or are you the half that is in France?

Anyway you can update your timeline for something to do.

It will show you and others your progress.

Accidentally came across this topic Q&A With a Former USCIS Adjudicator. It's an old one but gave me at least some perspective what's going on inside USCIS and how it proceeds our petitions. I thought, it might be useful for you as well, guys.

I remember reading this the last time around. Here is some useful info that people tend to ask and the answer is from a former service center employee who worked I-129F's among other cases.

Q   How long does a "typical" non-RFE case require to adjudicate?

That having been said... I could crank out an "approval" in about 15 minutes depending upon the complexity of the petition.

Yeah, I remember reading that too. It was actually very interesting, and I kind of wish that there would be a more recent Q&A. That being said, and based on what we see on our searches, I just really hope that they keep doing what they're doing - and fast... I don't want to think of USCIS to be lazy or call them that because I don't know how I would handle all that paper every single day, and yet, it's still our only option to go through them to be with our loved ones...

Question to the USCIS Adjudicator was why do some cases take so long?: This response is horrifying. LOL :girlwerewolf2xn:

The reason for some hanging so long could be several. One could be an RFE and while the officer is waiting for the response he is working more current dates. In other words more and more applications are getting in front of the RFE'd application. Another reason could be that the boxes that are staged on the shelves are chosen at random by the officers. For some reason a box of files might sit longer on the shelf than another. Usually not more than a day at the most though.  Or the officer could be hoarding a box at his desk  (for some strange reason) and then goes on vacation and doesn't scan them out of his name and back into (return) them to the system so they can be picked up by someone else to work. So it sits for awhile.:clock:
