This was weird. Case Tracker app on iPhone gave me an update on my case but it was weird because receipt number on the update was different from mine. Possible glitch but just made me trust the app less. ?

Saw 6 approvals made on January 17. I dunno what dates they were for though. Early November filers most probably.

Isabelleyri, odd that it says I-130 which is obviously not K-1

KF & OS , Name update means just that. Petitioner got the NOA 1 but one of the names were wrong so you can contact them to fix it and this is just confirmation that it was done.

It's weird indeed. It's a notification for an I-130 application and a different receipt number. Must be a glitch. :/

Accidentally came across this topic Q&A With a Former USCIS Adjudicator. It's an old one but gave me at least some perspective what's going on inside USCIS and how it proceeds our petitions. I thought, it might be useful for you as well, guys.

This definitely helps understand what a day looks like for the Adjudicator, and why our status/case can be in limbo for so long. I can't imagine the volume of cases received by CSC vs NSC, and how much information they must file through.

I went a little stir crazy just reading that (I'm of the Twitter generation, clearly ).

You can do the DS-160 as a matter of fact we just finished our tonight. We were working on it little by little.

Have the digital photo loaded. Just waiting for NOA 2 (not that it is needed) and then she (in Philippines) will digitally sign it.

The American can help fill it out but the foreigner has to click (sign) to verify all correct.

We just have to access the DS-160 every 30 days or it will go bye bye.

This is great advice! I started doing this with him yesterday. It definitely makes us feel we are doing something productive while waiting for our Noa2 :)

Hi 058rocale,

Do Cuban nationals have to do the DS-160 too?  The comments made it seem like it was for Philippines.

Is this for the interview? after the interview?

Thx

Hello Forena99,

I did read once that for the interview in Habana we have to have it done, if not, that they provide the paperwork. But it was recommended to do it ahead of time. I will look for this info again, to refresh my memory just in case and give you my source.

P.S. I'm also excited because my fiancé just applied for his passport today!  Yay!  He decided to just go get it now because we were afraid the lines were going to get longer since the "Wet foot, Dry foot" policy got lifted.  They told him to pick it up in 3 weeks.  So, I guess we can fill in that part of the DS-160 when he gets his passport.  Exciting!

what no passport yet?

That the heck were you waiting for LOL

That was 1st thing that should be done.

No passport means no where to put the visa and if their are delays getting a passport that could be an issue.

Glad it will be there in 3 weeks hoping you have NOA 2 by that time as well or much sooner.

I see you're still waiting, too, JimJesJuna. I check everyday for the NOA2. It seems like we are part of a cohort (early Nov NOA1's) that is on the slow track; whereas people who received their NOA1's in October are getting theirs much faster. I don't know. Maybe I'm just imagining it.
