I feel you! we all do :D. We were together too for 6 months then she needed to fly back to the states (as she need to be stable there financially so we needed to plan ahead.)  Been 3months apart for us now and i know how it feels. Im mentally and emotionally tortured everyday but this will be a happy ending :) everyone of us here will have it! She's currently having two jobs just to make sure we meet requirement, and we hardly even talk now which is heartbreaking. But im understanding as ever because shes all doing it for us. Being here in asia and having a fiance with 13 hrs time zones difference is though but we're fighting and keeping our hopes up everyday. Stay positive, that's what i have been doing too. I stopped checking my USCIS app for awhile haha cos its driving me crazy and my fiance even asked me to stop reading here cos im getting anxious about everything. I cant just sit here tho just waiting and i have no idea whats going on so im still here :D. And will stay here with you guys til the end of our process. I'm just always following the threads here and its very helpful to each of of us here.

It's going to be a long journey for us but its worth it! Pray hard. keep it positive. We'll get there. slowly.. but we will haha

This thread is very helpful for us people in LDR! I know how it feels. I'm also in Asia and my fiance in the US. We make sure to have schedules for our "dates" and make it a point to send each other messages at least once a day. It does help to to visit each other every 3-4 months and have something to look forward to (meaning this LDR will end at some point).

Let's all support each other as we all know how it feels to be distant from our loved ones.

Here's to hoping each and every one of us get our happy ever afters! <3

Yeah staying away and keeping mind active is probably a good thing to do. You are almost there though. Approvals coming soon. most of the wait is over for NOA 2.

Soon you 2 can be reunited, hope you can video skype her or Line video. when there is a chance.

Thanks Jim,

Yes we're trying very hard to make time haha. but I am also working full-time so the only time we could talk is on her way to work in her morning (thats my eve, just perfect time when i knock off work). And my morning, on the way to work (when she just finished her shift)... roughly around just 30mins  a day. That's all I can have though for now... Text & call. We use whatsapp video call too (but we don't have much time for that). Since im mostly on whatsapp, Singapore uses it alot. I just don't know if its just me, but this is the most excruciating moment of my life so far. Being away from the most important human being in your life is painful. On the brighter note :D, excited for the future! Our future together! :)

You guys are very lucky.. for our case I've spent roughly a week with my fiance and we were all around the place to meet up with my family, her family, my friends and her friends it was such a crazy week. The long distance thing is actually making me moody since i am terrible when it comes to waiting.. LOL ... but video chat 24/7, email, texting is somehow helping. But i am still aching to be with her already... I am sure guys we have the same sentiments.

Although our situation is not ideal to many people we are truly blessed because we get to have partners that share the same "end goal". A lot of people that I know that have been together for years and even share the same house but still have a different perspective of their end goal.

I have a question. If everything goes well with the petition, visa application and interview, can I bring my son with me when I go to the US? Are K1 and K2 visa's issued at the same time?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, if child's name was put on I-129f. Your son will need to do medical and attend an interview as well. His medical and his visa fee are paid separately. Usually, you have to prepare two sets of required paperwork for the interview, including an affidavit of support. Check specific requirements on your embassy website.

Hey, not directly visa related but how are you all coping with this long distance? It's killing me.. I was hoping to at least have a provisional move date by mid Feb which now doesn't seem so likely... I won't get to see my fiancé until I move which will be the longest we've gone apart and that's really making feel ill ? Sorry to sound so over dramatic, have just landed back from spending almost a month together and I'm just ready to be there now... what's harder is no body seems to understand how hard this long distance stuff is when I try to speak to them!

#wewantourNOA2!

We had been quite fortunate with visits up until now.  When we submitted the i129F and had to detail all the times we had met, it turned out that in the two years from meeting in October 2014 to getting engaged in October 2016 (inclusive), we had 12 meetings.  I was able to travel to the US more than Aaron was able to travel here as I am a freelancer and therefore could take more frequent and longer trips.

But, he was here for Christmas and has been home for two weeks now and won't be back until late May. This will be our longest wait between visits.  I didn't want to travel whilst my K1 was pending as I got really grilled by immigration on my last trip - and I figured with the speed that visas were being processed for early October applications (five months) that I could be close to getting my visa at Easter (how wrong was I?) - which was when I would have gone out to visit - maybe early so I could be there for his birthday.  Now I have booked a trip to Malta to distract me from not being out there with him.  I have lots of things to keep me busy in the meantime and I am packing my calendar with as much as possible to try to make sure that I have other things to stress about.  I am looking at how to ship my books and clothes from the UK (I found a good quote through transglobal express using UPS - much cheaper than everywhere else), planning a book sale to get rid of some of my other books and scouting for friends with cars to take me to the dump with the stuff that is no good to anyone.  Making plans and schedules helps.  Knowing that actually I don't have much time to do all these things - even with the delay - is helping to keep everything in perspective.

We skype or facetime every day when he gets in from work.  We only have a six hour time difference so it isn't too difficult.  I don't know how I'd manage if I didn't have that - so I really feel for those of you who can't.  We whatsapp throughout the day too.  I am an owl and he is a lark - so sometimes we are getting up at the same time - I'm not sure how that will works when we have no time difference though!

We have set the date for August 26th.  I was originally planning to move out there at the beginning of July.  That is flexible though - and I guess as long as I get there before the wedding we'll be okay (especially as friends and family are booking flights).

I am so glad I found this thread. I am feeling much calmer now that I have a grasp on what is happening with the NOA2s (or rather what isn't happenng with them).

Just remembering to breathe - and that these are the people we are going to spend the rest of our lives with - we have come this far, the extra few weeks will be worth it in the end.

Love to all

Chelley

My netflix account works just fine in Phils without need to VPN.

There's different content for netflix PH than netflix US.  I cant remember if netflix is an app that needs to be downloaded as if you're on an Apple US regional server or you just need to launch the app from a US IP.

I know HBO Go only works if you launch the app from an IP that is outside PH.  Singapore seems to be the best connection that HBO servers recognize.

Anyway, good luck to all and happy quick NOA 2.

LDRs are not easy to deal with. Since my fiance and I have been together, we've been lucky to be able to visit each other almost every 2.5 months. I have been fortunate to be able to spend more time out in the States, than him being able to come visit me in Canada (i.e. vacation time, custody/financial issues with his son's Mom), but everytime we part ways after a visit, my fiance gets into a spurt of desperation. Looking for ways to get me to move out there sooner than later. We're all feeling the desperation, and the wait times for the next notice of action (#2!!!) is not helping. We just want the first obstacle to be over with in order to be with our loved ones.

My ex-fiancee brought her son with her it was k-2 as well. If under 12 then no need for CFO attendance (Philippine thing only so other countries can disregard that part)

Yes visa's are issued at same time.

I found this interesting.

It is NOT mine

It is someone else's approval for a I-130

Let's see who here can tell what is "interesting" or "unusual" about it.
