This is awesome thank you so much for putting this together.

It really does appear for the most part that they are trying to work cases as they get them.

Can't wait for next week.

Jim

No problem :)

Another reassuring statistic is that the rejections for improper filing seem to be sent out within a couple of days of receipt.  So. those of us still waiting are more likely to get an aprroval or an RFE - not a rejection.  I have only stumbled across a tiny number of later rejections whilst doing this. So the good news is that there is obviously a basic paperwork check in place upon receipt - and we are waiting for the more detailed check and data input to find out if any minor details or further queries are necessary.

Although - somethng else to note is that some case numbers are way out of sync with their date - and so, could end up getting processed a few days later (or more) than others on the same date.

For those who have the app, go into the search function and search 100 cases begiining 30 or 40 case numbers prior to your own.  Then filter it to i129Fs.  That way you'll have an indication as to whether your case might be processed with others that have the same received date.

Someone on here said that they have an October 18th date?  If you don't have the app, message me and I can do a search for your case number and others on that date - just to see whether yours seems to be stuck on its own or if there are others from the 18th still waiting too.

All the best

Chelley

Oh I thought there might be a hack or loophole. Ok not sure how it works but will try it.

Thanks

Jim

and Speedy NOA 2 to you

Based on what you guys mentioned that they place the limit based on IP address, the vpn should work for pulling new addresses.

We used it to trick apps into thinking she is in a country that allows usage that otherwise doesnt work sa pilipinas.  HBO, netflix, etc.

On the iphone we use VPN master.  Free and it works.

How long could they be buried?? I've read stories that sometimes people have to wait 1 to 2 years for an NOA2. Is that still true? Is it that common? What the f#@% is going on with this system??? I can't even sleep. I wake up every few hours to look at the forums and search my case number. Do they just have a pile of i-129f packets that sit there that long? What is the point? Is contacting a congressmen really going to do anything at all?

It's odd that after an RFE you didn't get a quick approval, it seems you are at least in the system.

Does anyone know if I can just cancel my i-129f packet and resubmit it and pay the fee again? I honestly feel that will be months faster at this point.

Nowrya, I feel your pain. I'm going through the same, can't sleep, can't concentrate on something. It is tough. But I am sure that all this pain is well worth it, eventually we'll be reunited with our loved ones.

I agree with the others' advice not to cancel your petition. Our plan is to wait exactly 5 months (mid-March in our case), and if nothing happens, to contact the congressman about making an official inquiry to USCIS. Let's hope that they are working on our cases, and the reason for the delay is pending security check.

P.S. Melatonin helps me to deal with sleep issues when it gets really bad.

Hi everyone!

I've been following this thread for a while. I'm also a November filer. Waiting for over 2 months is killing me, I'm trying to convince myself that we might have another month to get our NO2 and then start counting again with NVC, consulate, interview... Reading this forum is helping me not going crazy, it's good to know that we're not alone in this journey...

Hey, not directly visa related but how are you all coping with this long distance? It's killing me.. I was hoping to at least have a provisional move date by mid Feb which now doesn't seem so likely... I won't get to see my fiancé until I move which will be the longest we've gone apart and that's really making feel ill ? Sorry to sound so over dramatic, have just landed back from spending almost a month together and I'm just ready to be there now... what's harder is no body seems to understand how hard this long distance stuff is when I try to speak to them!

Hahaha I love your hashtag, it's true we all want NOA2 so bad :P

You are still lucky you got a month to spend with your fiance, mine just got 2 weeks because he had to come back to America to work. But during his time here I still had to work. Just like you sometimes the universe kept delaying our plan and some people kept asking me how he would come to visit me, and every time when I said I dunno, we still had much things to sort out, they kept saying, well be careful he must cheating on you... some don't trust in long distance relationship but I dont care, because they dont understand me, either him. It's hard when you see couples on the streets hanging out, kissing, being together hand in hand while you guys are still being far away from each other. But be strong, I believe with those people who truly love each other, long distance relationship is worth it and it's stronger than anything :)

#wewantourNOA2!

I visited my fiancé for ten days at Christmas, but he is working two jobs, so I didn't see him very much.  Still, it was wonderful to see him in the mornings and evenings, and I could briefly visit him each day at his workplace.  I am a teacher, so I will fly out to see him over spring break, and then we will have the summer together.  The amount of vacation I get as a teacher makes this easier; I have a lot of respect for those of you who are navigating long-distance relationships with only a few weeks off each year. :)

Even though we see each other every few months, the distance is really challenging.  We were hoping to get married at the beginning of this summer, but with current processing times, I don't know if that is realistic.  We'll see!!!  We are sooooo looking forward to being in the same place and not having to say goodbye!!!

My fiancé has experienced the same kind of questions from everyone in her life, but especially her boss at work seems to always try to make her doubt our relationship from the time we got engaged. The pressure she experience on a daily basis from everyone in her life regarding our engagement can get overwhelming for sure. They seem to be very jealous and upset that she will be coming to the USA to marriage and live with me forever. Telling her that she is abandoning them and only thinking of herself and our child. I hope this makes us stronger because without me there in person and I can only do so much on the phone, she is not doing well at this point. When we get our NOA2 it will certainly lift my spirits, but I think she will get the jolt of confidence that she needs right now. I can only hope that it comes soon.

Crabpot mentality sorry to say. Very common over there.

Stay strong.

I feel you! we all do :D. We were together too for 6 months then she needed to fly back to the states (as she need to be stable there financially so we needed to plan ahead.)  Been 3months apart for us now and i know how it feels. Im mentally and emotionally tortured everyday but this will be a happy ending :) everyone of us here will have it! She's currently having two jobs just to make sure we meet requirement, and we hardly even talk now which is heartbreaking. But im understanding as ever because shes all doing it for us. Being here in asia and having a fiance with 13 hrs time zones difference is though but we're fighting and keeping our hopes up everyday. Stay positive, that's what i have been doing too. I stopped checking my USCIS app for awhile haha cos its driving me crazy and my fiance even asked me to stop reading here cos im getting anxious about everything. I cant just sit here tho just waiting and i have no idea whats going on so im still here :D. And will stay here with you guys til the end of our process. I'm just always following the threads here and its very helpful to each of of us here.

It's going to be a long journey for us but its worth it! Pray hard. keep it positive. We'll get there. slowly.. but we will haha
