For what it's worth, I contacted my congressman.  I got a call back from an administrative assistant that gave me the usual canned answer of "you are within the processing time, so there is nothing we can do until you are out of it."  Then I explained about the delays at CSC and kept insisting she call the CSC to see if she could find out anything.  She finally agreed to do it and called me back with the result the next day.  Basically, nothing extraordinary is happening.... they will try to hire more people to speed things up.

So, at least somebody at CSC heard from a Congressman -- I recommend that others try to force a call to CSC from their congressman so that they realize that their delays are not unnoticed.  Remember, you are their client.  The other semi, sort of good news is that supposedly nothing extraordinary is going on (supposedly).  Of course, the overriding fact is more bureaucratic BS without much data.....

P.S.  I was the one who asked the question on Twitter about CSC and got no answer.  They only do it for one hour once a month (#AskUSCIS), usually on the first or second Tuesday, but there are several USCIS Twitter accounts, I recommend that those with Twitter accounts (get one for free if you don't have one), search for "USCIS" and send tweets asking about this; maybe if they are deluged we will get an answer or have some impact.  They also have Facebook accounts.  Let's make our presence felt.....  Incredible that they only have one hour per month live!

.Hej guys, I just write to NY congress women, complaining about this situation, Think all of us should do it. Fact is that as USA  citizen we have right to marry whoever we want,   fact is that USCS collected over $150.000 USD from us, seems like our civil rights are being validated and we are not getting what we paid for.So if anyone is afraid retaliation just sit and wait, but if you want something, looks like will have to complain and fight for it. Posible that it will be like throwing a stone in deep well but who knows? Pissed as any of you !

Jim,

I think I just realized that the program I was talking about and DACA are the same thing.  I thought DACA was for helping minors (children), but actually, it is also helping adults that came to the US when they were minors.  I got confused when I saw the name and thought it was a different program.

Anywho, it doesn't change anything for us waiting for approval for our I129f's!

I'm not sure how to track DACA requests on the case tracker system.  But perhaps we can hope that things may change in 9 days???  Just not sure if its better or worse than now...

Forena

Hi Forena,

Yeah they can call it whatever they want.

1st delay when they started DACA 2012-2013 and now we filed Fiancee visas right at the start of the probable end of DACA.

I don't think children of illegals should be punished for the criminal actions of their parents. The reason they are putting them ahead of K-1 is that there may very well be no more DACA after the 20th.

I understand the logic but it doesn't mean I have to like the unintended affect on our I-129F's . This blows no other way to put it.

The other thing that irks me is they lack of transparency just send us all a freaking email to tell us what is really going on but no it's the usual government stonewalling.

Oh well - Heading to Philippines in 31 more days

Jim

Hey thanks for trying. Seems like they answered 1 out of every 20 questions or so. Most by referring people to various USCIS web links.

Ideally people should contact the congressional office of the state in which they reside.

Let us know if you hear anything else.

Forena,

No I don't, but I checked out your timeline and saw that it was on default. If don't mind me asking what embassy will you have your interview at if it isn't in the drop down?

Well hello, congrats soulstriker on getting your visa yesterday (today).

I saw your post over at the Facebook visa group.

I'm so happy for you both.

Hope you are having luck finding a decent priced ticket.

Sometimes and I repeat sometimes RT can be had for less than one way if they are having a sale.
