Geowrian, if they did not approve this expedite but they approved the $900 non-refundable ticket guy I would be shocked..LOL

Jim

I don't think he'll get an approval anyway. lol But they are fighting it different angles. One is a verified and real financial loss (albeit not severe or unavoidable IMHO), while the other (under this section of the guidelines) is based on a prediction of increasing inflation. The other factors have meaning to me, but I can also see why USCIS didn't accept them individually.

It's like the example of pregnancies and such. In some circumstances, I think those *should* qualify for expedition more than only a $900 loss, but I don't think it meets the rules as laid out. C'est la vie!

This article explains the change last week from the official processing time on the USCIS website being posted as five months to being currently posted as July.   If you don't want to read it, the bottom line is that the processing time shown is pretty much meaningless and (I think) calculated on last October 31.

I'm not entirely sure why myself...but my estimated adjudication timeframe just jumped 2.5 weeks closer. :) It's still farther out than my original estimate before the holiday near-stoppage, but I'll take whatever I can get. I just wish I knew *why* it changed as I haven't seen any significant changes in processing speeds themselves.

Thanks for this website. Bottom line is as you say. It's just a bunch of smoke and mirrors. How many months and man hours did it take for them to come up with this new completely worthless method?

Oh well.

Mine jumped too it says Jan 3-6... anyday now would be spectacular

anyone know why it would have jumped on VJ? I couldn't imagine it would have been because of that one December person that was approved. Do these date estimates anything to do with the other service centers or does it separate them?

So it seems like it bumped up a bunch of people's timelines. Without an underlying cause, I think it's just a bad prediction, unfortunately. Darn!

Probably not. VJ measures trends, and one person among hundreds is not likely to have such a strong impact. haha The service center does have an impact...some have a bigger backlog than others.

Here is some info about the California Visa center from past open house they had plus some other articles that may or may not pertain to K-1 visas. Some articles are dated, but info on processing is probably the same.  Might answer some of your questions, or not..something to do as you wait.

Hi Mzladyq, I tried to restrain from the :ranting: but enough already they need to start doing some work there. I'm sure they are busy on something just not I-129F that is for sure.

Yes you make a good point hopefully NOA 2 approved so i can at least bring her those items, well I will be bringing them anyway but my first plan was to go to interview with her.

That won't happen now unless miracle approval THIS week since NVC will be another 2-3 weeks wait and everything else that needs to be done before the interview like the Medical.

Ah well.

Yeah inside source would be nice , There was a guy from 2015 who had the inside scoop I will try to find that post.

So how did you the teacher meet the love of your life way over in Nigeria?

Are you near Ft. Sill OK?

I was stationed there well probably before you were born...LOL

Jim

It means the estimate provided on the USCIS website isn't very reliable. :) Nobody can give you an exact date or even a guaranteed timeframe. USCIS will process your case at their pace and let you know when there is something else for you to do, or when they made a decision. Until then, it's just a waiting game.
