Hi!

I'm new here on VJ.

I don't understand very well that App you guys are talking about. Can someone tell me if there has been any approval, RFE or reject for cases received on november 14th? Pleasee :(

Hope we all get our approval soon!

Btw, I've been trying to check my case status at the USCIS web page all day long but it seems like there's something wrong with it. The page just doesn't work. Is it just me???

Bye!

Received date is the received date, obviously. :P But the "Notice Date" is the one you actually use as the NOA1 date for terms of this site and estimating when your application will be processed.

Just received this in the mail... It's a bit odd, knowing that I sent the request back in November.

I called them for this request on Nov 22st.

Next day I received requests for evidence with only one option to send it to them - over fax. I kept trying to send it on 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th but had no luck. Apparently top USCIS turn of their fax machines during holidays and vacation days (Black Friday).

Finally I were able to send requested evidence on Nov 28th. I waited till Dec 2nd and called the to inquire on the status of my request and I was told that I need to wait a little more. Called them back a week after - was told that I shouldn't expect an answer from them and if our case would  get expedited - they'll contact me within 2-3 weeks from the request date, if not -  I should expect that my case would get expedited. So yes.. in three weeks I gave up.

I'm guessing it either I somehow didn't prove them enough the hardness of our situation  (although I really too my time to thoroughly explain everything) or to be qualified you really need to have near death situation.:(

I'm sorry to hear that your expedite request was denied. On the plus side, you'll probably be processed within a couple weeks normally at this point. The expedite would only have applied to the I-129F, not NVC processing or for the K-1 process. So it really had minimal impact at this point in time.

Do you mind if I ask the nature of your request?

That's what I'm doing and what I believe it goes by. Those apps are not official - they're made by individual, but I think they go based on the actual notice as well.

Edit: Actually...checking a few known receipt numbers that I'm tracking, it looks like the app shows the "Received Date", not the notice date. VJ still uses the Notice Date, though.

It's fine.. I'm guessing if we were able to live apart for over 2 years and after three tourist visa denials we can wait a bit more..

My fiancée has scoliosis. She was strong enough to fight from most severe to mild case. Of course you need a lot of money for it.. doctors, gym classes with trainers, expensive back corsets/bracets etc everything = lots of $$.

I filed for financial loss due to hyperinflation in Ukraine. Due to undeclared war with Russia over the past 2 years Ukrainian currency went from 1 usd = 8 uah to 1 usd = 27 uah, so basically prices tripled while salaries remained the same. Some of the government benefits for her disability were halted too. On top of everything it's not safe too.. I even took a quote from trave(dot)gov website: "The situation in Ukraine is unpredictable and could change quickly.  U.S. citizens throughout Ukraine should avoid large crowds and be prepared to remain indoors should protests or demonstrations escalate."

My guess is it all didn't metter to them, because my fiancée lives in central Ukraine.. far from conflict zone (Eastern Ukraine). So unless she lived in area currently occupied by Russia - she's fine.<_<

Lol at ur cursing emoji haha. Aw thats just 1 month! It would be great to get a notification before then. It would make it so much easier to get signatures ...documents... passport pics... or anything else needed for the interview and work on it together.

Anyone else taking a trip soon? My trip is March 1-20th.

It makes no sense.... wish i knew an inside source from uscis to tell us WHY arent they moving... maybe it would put my mind to rest. Lol

Hi Mzladyq, I tried to restrain from the :ranting: but enough already they need to start doing some work there. I'm sure they are busy on something just not I-129F that is for sure.

Yes you make a good point hopefully NOA 2 approved so i can at least bring her those items, well I will be bringing them anyway but my first plan was to go to interview with her.

That won't happen now unless miracle approval THIS week since NVC will be another 2-3 weeks wait and everything else that needs to be done before the interview like the Medical.

Ah well.

Yeah inside source would be nice , There was a guy from 2015 who had the inside scoop I will try to find that post.

So how did you the teacher meet the love of your life way over in Nigeria?

Are you near Ft. Sill OK?

I was stationed there well probably before you were born...LOL

I was just curious because the rules for it are pretty broad and appear to either have unknown criteria or lots of discretion involved.

My mistake was that I was trying to push for multiple (two) expedite reasons at once. They have a list of reasons you can request expedited document processing:

-Severe financial loss to company or individual

-Extreme emergent situation

-Humanitarian situation

-Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States

-Department of Defense or National Interest Situation (Note: Request must come from official United States Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to our Government)

-USCIS error

-Compelling interest of USCIS

My main point was the financial hardship she carries there, but I also tapped into the humanitarian situation topic in the country as a whole. All of these reasons (in my opinion) fall into grey area where you get 50/50 chance of getting approved. Especially with financial loss that I tapped into..  If any of these apply to you - my advaice would be to pick either "Extreme emergent situation" or "Humanitarian situation" because it's easy to understand with them if you even stand a chance in getting the expedite processing approved.(and you don't waste your & USCIS too) If beneficiary's county is not on the list: https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/alertswarnings.html Then 99% your expedite request would get denial. On top of that  they will be asking for evidence.. and it looks like the only legit evidences of serious situation for them would be something like a picture of beneficiary's damaged/distroyed house for that matter.

:unsure:Alright.. Good night everybody.

Hi Diana and welcome to the thread.

The USCIS Case tracker app used the received date. The received date is the date that USCIS got the I-129F and can be found by entering your WAC number into the website.

There is no way to use the case tracker app by NOA 1 date.

The NOA 1 date is the Notice Date found in the upper right hand corner of the form I-797C.

This "notice" date should also be used for the NOA 1 date on your visa Journey Timeline.

Hope this helps.

Jim

Thank you so much for the information... Can you please tell me the name of the App?

Thanks for sharing! I'm sorry to hear about your partner's health condition.

I was just curious because the rules for it are pretty broad and appear to either have unknown criteria or lots of discretion involved.

Geowrian, if they did not approve this expedite but they approved the $900 non-refundable ticket guy I would be shocked..LOL

Yeah that person is trying to be a lane cutter for sure. I kept my opinion to myself when I saw the post, but everyone else let them have it so it worked out any way. $900 is a lot of money, but you shouldn't be putting the cart before the horse.
