Will it change to say someone has started looking at it?

MsJo,

No, I'm afraid not.  I've never seen anything like that, like a status change to say "Currently working on this case" or something like that.  It's just a sit and wait till you hear something back, usually either an RFE or an approval.

I just checked my status online and it changed to RFE...At least they touched it.

I just hope it's not a complicated RFE.

I's been a very anguish waiting time.

That is actually great news. It means someone is actively working your case.

No chance of it being left in a pile forgotten or assigned to a super slow employee.

You put April 1st 2017 on your RFE date for your timeline above though.

Anyway congrats on your movement.

Let us know what RFE is for when you find out.

This is so nerve wrecking. On the USCIS website, the  CSC has changed the K1 visa Processing Cases as of 5 months to July 16, 2016. Hopefully, the employees are finished with their team building exercises Jim and will get back to working like little energizer bunnies. lol

yup need more bunnies or super fast bunnies. Crank them out. LOL

Ugh that sucks. They could at least let us know somebody is looking at our case and it's not just sitting in some pile off to the side.

Hi Stella03_SMG,

Welcome to the November filer's thread.

If you fill out your VJ timeline (link below) then it will tell you at the bottom after you put in your NOA 1 date the time range you may expect an approval

This info is only based upon what member here put in.  Your NOA 1 date is the date on your NOA 1 upper right hand corner of your hard copy "notice date"

Hang on for the ride

Someone gave me great advice once after applying for a federal job; "Now that you've applied go on with your life as if you haven't." Take the same approach to this process.

After filing I checked the status everyday always expecting to see a change, and everyday I was disappointed. After a month I stopped checking, I told my fiancee to do the same (although she didn't listen to me). The day she told me it was approved it took me completely off guard. The reality is that your petition could be approved tomorrow, try not to put too much thought into it. Live for today.

Hello,

I checked USCIS website for the current processing times for I129F petition for California Service Center.

It looks like they made changes and updates to the site. They are currently processing petitions as of July 16, 2016??? ?

Does this mean they are behind since July?? If this is true than it will definitely be a longer wait for me! ?

Oh my gosh. Really. :( But that doesn't make sense since there were approvals until the month of October. Or maybe that only means that they still have applicants from July still being processed? :( Oh well. Let's all just stay positive! It can't come soon enough. But i do hate this waiting game. haha. But this should be the longest step in the process, right? Waiting for the NAO2? It will all be cruising after that?
