As for visiting, no problem. She could even visit you if she has a valid tourist visa. And I think it's a very sweet idea to surprise her for your anniversary.

After your NOA2, it's recommended to start collecting everything necessary for the interview, i.e. Affidavit of Support (not sure if the embassy in the Philippines requires that), updated letter of intent to marry, etc. Your petition is then sent to the NVC, and most people start calling them on a regular basis to get their case# (a different one than for USCIS) shortly after they get their NOA2. Once NVC can provide you with their case#, your fiancée can start the whole process of DS-160, payment of visa fee, etc. However, it seems like there is also quite some waiting time between NOA2 and NVC these days...

Also, that's just a rough draft; I'm sure somebody who has more experience with the embassy in Manila can give much more detailed information.

Thanks so much for the response, as for the letter of intent to marry: it's the same draft right? it's just the dates that needs to be changed?

i'm not canceling my petition. Lol just a thought. i really hope this month will be our NOA2 Month.

Very good to hear and yes this really needs to be our month sadly we have zero control at this point.

I'm expecting lots of movement this week as employees at CSC should now be well rested...LOL

Good morning,

I noticed as expected that the wait from CSC to NVC has now went DOWN.

The reason is that CSC processed so few I-129F's lately. This is allowing NVC to play catch up.

Wait time was 21-30 days. Some members recently had them within about 12 days including Cleofe+Daniel from the October thread..

So CSC may be adding weeks or even months to the process but NVC seems to be shaving off a few weeks on their end. Not sure if this trend will continue but worth keeping in mind.

As for your updated Letter of intent.

The last time I did this I added more info basically stated that my I-129F petition is now approved and I intend to marry when she arrives .

She also needs to fill out an updated letter of intent. She could say "His petition was approved he is here visiting me now and we are touring (insert destination here)" still intend to marry when I arrive in XXXX.

Don't forget for both of you to sign your respective letters.

Hope this helps it worked for me the last go around.

Thanks, Jim, for the clarifications and yay for the faster USCIS-NVC transfer. Let's just hope that we're moving forward and get our NOA2s later this month. It seems though that they are slowly creeping up to our dates, although there is not always the same amount of movement day by day, but at least there has been some since Christmas.

Wishing all of you a great day.

June is 6 months out good lord they should all be here before then. If approved end of January and sit at NVC a few more weeks then interviews by late Feb arrivals in March at the absolute latest.

But each case is different so tick tock.

Good God, Jim and Nico... We have a provisional wedding date set mid-June, so our issued visas better be ready then... ;) I'm setting my hopes for January now (for NOA2), and then NVC-embassy February / early March. That would still give us all enough time to make it by April / May.

Javadown (his timeline above) is also a October NOA 1 so still no one from November NOA 1, close to interview stage. Hope that will change soon.

Hello November NOA 1's

Here is an update from USCIS App.

Cases received 10/28 and 10/31 have had ZERO approvals  for today 1/3/2017 the first full day back to work for USCIS.

Well Igor's list has a change now. There were so many cases filed this year that it would not populate approved case list for all of the year.

Now that January is over it shows February 2016 to January 2017 so I was able to find this information.

Per VJ timelines there are 173 UNapproved petitions for November and 8 yes only 8 approvals for NOA 1 dated anytime in November.

It's going to be a long month.

December only had 83 Unapproved petitions. More than 100 less filers than in November.

Jim

See you all here tomorrow.
