There is an iPhone app called Case Tracker, where you can run a search for up to 500 cases at a time based on receipt numbers and then filter the output for I129-F petitions. It's actually pretty neat, and once you play around with it for a little bit, you get the hang of it and can keep track of the progress (or, well, lack thereof) of cases received around the date yours was received.

There is an app for Android as well though. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with anything else than iPhone as of yet, but I saw other people in other threads posting about it. I believe it's called USCIS case status and visa bulletin tracker, and as from what I read, you can search for what they call "nearby cases" in there as well. Maybe something to pass the time with ;)

Nico22, at this stage in the process you would just send a letter with your request and case number to CSC. It takes a long time for a response, so most peopel wait until the embassy stage to cancel it. If you are planning on getting married before approval no need to wait, just get married, send the letter and then send your I-130 packet.

Why why why? Want to just get hitched? Hehe

send a letter requesting withdrawal of petition signed by petitioner along with photocopy of NOA 1.

If you check the USCIS app you will see others have done this and case status changed to petition withdrawn

PM me if you like

Hello November NOA 1's

Here is an update from USCIS App.

Cases received 10/28 and 10/31 have had ZERO approvals  for today 1/3/2017 the first full day back to work for USCIS.

Well Igor's list has a change now. There were so many cases filed this year that it would not populate approved case list for all of the year.

Now that January is over it shows February 2016 to January 2017 so I was able to find this information.

Per VJ timelines there are 173 UNapproved petitions for November and 8 yes only 8 approvals for NOA 1 dated anytime in November.

It's going to be a long month.

December only had 83 Unapproved petitions. More than 100 less filers than in November.

Jim

See you all here tomorrow.

narakthisud congratulations! This is so exciting. I believe you are the first person from this group to get their interview. Correct me if I am wrong Jim.

Thanks, but the honor of being first to the interview stage belongs to @javadown2. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, he and his fiance already have their interview date!

As for visiting, no problem. She could even visit you if she has a valid tourist visa. And I think it's a very sweet idea to surprise her for your anniversary.

After your NOA2, it's recommended to start collecting everything necessary for the interview, i.e. Affidavit of Support (not sure if the embassy in the Philippines requires that), updated letter of intent to marry, etc. Your petition is then sent to the NVC, and most people start calling them on a regular basis to get their case# (a different one than for USCIS) shortly after they get their NOA2. Once NVC can provide you with their case#, your fiancée can start the whole process of DS-160, payment of visa fee, etc. However, it seems like there is also quite some waiting time between NOA2 and NVC these days...

Also, that's just a rough draft; I'm sure somebody who has more experience with the embassy in Manila can give much more detailed information.
