Just a thought, what if you already filed your K1 Visa waiting for approval and then you visited your fiance then you decided to get married at her foreign country. Would the K1 Visa get affected? I'm not saying I'm going to do it, it's just a random thought. Lol

Nico22: It would definitely affect your K1 Visa request as you are applying for a one time visa for your fiance to join you in the U.S. to get married. If you get married, then you two are no longer fiances', but spouses and you would need to submit I-130 Petition for Alien Relative and need to withdraw your I-129 Fiance Visa request. I have to admit we have thought about this option as well, but we definitely don't want to start over this process. Everyday is long enough as it is. Hang in there you two!

That is why the US embassy (in the Philippines anyway) request CENOMAR for Certificate of no marriage. People have tried this in the past and the K-1 is denied.

Some have tried not to report the marriage but there is always some jealous ex or former friend who finds out what is going on and reports it.

The US embassy does have the right to view Social Media such as Facebook or even this group if they so desire.

So yes as Ybhamster said as well it would definitely be a problem.

Happy New Year

Hello Chi & Clint. No chance that anything on that App will affect your visa in a negative way. There are actually ads right here on VJ website as well. I just don't click on them.

Yeah they just take work off the shelf as it comes. You would think first in would be first worked but they are not like that.

I think they just grab a stack of files and put them on their desk.

They might have a difficult case that takes more time and spend weeks on it before they get to the next one.

Others might blow through 5 cases in one day. Just depends.

Jim

Hi Everyone! I'm a little late to this thread, but better late than never. Our I-129F package was received Nov 23 and our NOA1 was issued Nov 29. It sucks that everything is taking so long, though I feel a bit better knowing now that it isn't just us that are being delayed. Hopefully January brings everyone good luck! :)
