So now I checked online again and it says:

Document Was Mailed

We mailed your document for your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number WAC1790087903. If you do not receive your document by January 12, 2017, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we resend the document to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Which is the same as it said before today. The status went back. My lawyer is on hold with USCIS but I let him know. He said he's still going to complete the call just to be sure.

Probably a good 40 days till approval at the rate things are moving and Holidays coming up.

This is a K-3 I believe. I-129F in conjunction with I-130. Not sure if special processing applies to the I-129F probably not.

Does the NOA 1 for I-129F say it is at CSC?

Keep us updated.

Enjoy the Holidays as best you can.

Jim

Actually no, that's a different status than before. My lawyer says it means they mailed something yesterday or today. I wonder that could be? RFE so soon?

Ok So what did your lawyer tell you?

Actually you are free to call them yourself.

I would do that if your lawyer did not get through today.

On the USCIS app it normally says why they sent something to you or it will say

"did not sign" , no payment, Request for additional info.

(EDIT)I plugged in your # on app it just says "Document Mailed" another member had similar item COB821

Very curious.

Hope its just an input error on their part.

Let us know

Jim

Does anyone know if my fiancé can visit me in California while we're waiting for his K1 visa to get approved?

He has a tourist visa. But I guess my question is if him coming in to USA affect the K1 process ?

Thank you !

Yes, he can come visit you during the process since he has a tourist visa. It will not affect the K1 process. Please be aware having a tourist visa does not grant access to the US. It is up to the border control agent to grant access to your fiance using his visa. Most likely he will need to insure them that he has a plan to return to his country and has no plans other than to be a tourist (like marry you) on this trip.

I am planning to do that too next year. I have visited my fiance twice this year in California using my tourist visa before we filed our k1 visa. Before he filed my k1 visa, he went to USCIS to ask if I am allowed to visit while the k1 visa is in process, they said yes I can visit using my tourist visa. Just be honest with questions from the immigration officer. Meaning, tell them you have filed a k1 visa and it is currently being processed and you don't intend to marry while you are on your vacation. :)

Btw, any news on CSC? Are there any approvals for today? :sleepy:

Hey Jim

My lawyer jumped on it right away. Maybe it's an input error as you said. The previous status certainly looks that way. Good to know it usually says why something sent, but I'm in the dark. Probably the item will arrive tomorrow or Friday...will be watching mail closely.

Do we have any news on the November filers? I am getting disheartened. I just wish we get a feedback before the year ends!

By the way, if we get an RFE, do we also get notified via SMS and email?

Sigh...I haven't heard of anything and they say the website is under maintenance today.

All I'm thinking is that they have a quota per year and they've already reached it that's why they're being so lax with their approvals lately.

Anyway, going to take my mind off this waiting game for now and concentrate on the upcoming holidays.

Cheers everyone!

Crying doesn't work all we can do is laugh or at least just shake our heads at this whole situation.
