Aren't Mondays grand?  :D  I never thought I could love Mondays as much as I do now.

Yes. Exactly. Haha. All because of three letters and a number. I'm hoping many people will get approved this week. ?

It's very helpful.  Just about every question I can think to ask about Canada has already been answered.  I've read a lot of the threads and they have really helped me and my fiancé feel more prepared. :)

Most folks on this forum have waited from about 83-125 days until NOA-2 (give or take a few, and not as many people have to wait >100 days). It's hard but we'll manage!

Hi Val! No, you will not receive the NOA-2 in the mail as the beneficiary. However, folks have said it is very helpful to have the NOA-2 to bring to your interview for your K-1 visa, and they recommend that your fiancée (the petitioner) make a PDF copy and mail or bring (on vacation) the NOA-2 to you to add to your portfolio of documents to bring to the K-1 visa interview.

The way you will know the next step in your case is by calling the NVC (National Visa Center located in New Hampshire on the east coast of the US) roughly two weeks (your fiance can start calling earlier than that) after the date of notification of NOA-2 via the app or USCIS website. The number for the NVC's non-immigrant line is 603-334-0888 (someone correct me if the other number for immigrant visas is the preferred phone number). The NVC will handle your case from here on out! Once the NVC receives the case from USCIS, they will give it a case number and forward it to the appropriate embassy.

Once your fiance is able to obtain the case number from the NVC, you will be able to track the case (https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx) as it travels to the embassy and use the case number you get to schedule your medical exam and visa interview. There are of course other things you must do, and each country may have slightly different rules - so finding the K-1 rules on the appropriate government website for your country will be the best way to get the most recent data on the procedural steps!

Hello @fishe23a!

Thanks so much for this info! The reason why i need it is cos i will need this letter to settle some documents on my part (as they do not process without any reason). In that case I will just ask Alex (my fiance) to send me a clear scanned copy. I don't want to delay this as well & to wait for nothing haha. good thing i asked here!

I have told Alex the info you just said so we're both clear about it!

is this > (https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx) same account where I key in my DS-160? Im not sure about it, need your help :/

I already started doing it but i dont have my case number yet so i used my receipt number from before and just update it later on.

Not sure about this one too.. For our visa type, are we the one who will schedule our interview date? or every consulate is different?

thanks in advance!!

Val
