What is  average time from NOA2 to beneficiary receiving notification from Consulate  ???

Can't tell you an average time, but for us it was precisely 3 weeks. The Consulate sent an email with all the necessary information about the following steps to the petitioner. I, the beneficiary, haven't been contacted by the Consulate at all. But when I logged into my account on usatraveldocs.com (I had registered there before) I saw on the dashboard info that my visa type is K1.

Well happy Friday to the thread! :dancing:

Congrats to all the approvals this week.

Things really are moving.

For 10/31 there were 364 cases and as of tonight there are now 38 left unworked.

Today is DAY 100 from NOA 1 for us.

I have a feeling I will be one of the final 3 cases to get approved.:protest:

Tomorrow I will be off the the Philippines to visit Jes again.

I never in  a million years thought by the time I took this trip our case would not be approved as that was over 3 long months ago.

I filed a few days before Halloween seems like an eternity.

Anyway so glad to see all the filers come out of the woodwork and contribute to the thread.

This will be my last post until the end of the month.

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to update you guys that I received the physical NOA2 in the mail today. My case was approved on February 6th. Now time to call the NVC. How long should I wait before calling them? What is the current processing time at NVC anyone know?

And I joined the FB group today! :)

Stephen

Try calling NVC 8-10 days from electronic notice of NOA2. Most are averaging 2 weeks since January 1 for NVC to receive but a few that I have seen have been less. Mine took 14 days.

NVC is currently taking 1-3 days from receipt to issue the embassy number and 2-5 days to forward to the embassy after processing.

Hi JSWH,

so in Russia they dont send anything over physical post? Im asking because I live in Tajikistan and Ive been stressing about receiving mail as the service is unreliable/non existent here.

My visa will be issued in Almaty, Kazakhstan (US emb in Dushanbe doesnt do immigration visas) so I hope they are as "green" as Moscow and send info over email :)

Hey Stephen - congrats!!! Everything will move much faster now.

i would give it another week (so next Friday) before you call the NVC. Their processing times are pretty quick, I don't know when they received ours but from NOA2 to despatch date was 2 weeks. Hope that helps :)

Hi Miina!

I got an impression that now everything is done online in almost every country. The process looks a bit haphazard, but nothing complicated, frankly. Once you get your NVC number everything is trackable and transparent. In case you haven't done that yet, register your profile on usatraveldocs.com. You will be able to communicate with the Consulate through it and request to schedule your interview. Also remember, that if you have any questions about the final steps of your K1 visa process, you can always reach the Consulate by email. They've been very quick and helpful with their responses.

If your native language is Russian, there is a priceless source of information here Yesterday I was working on my DS-160 and had couple questions answers to which I found there.

Don't stress yourself too much! We all will make it through soon. Promise :)

Quick question re;DS-160 (I have looked and other threads are out of date on this topic)

Previous visits to the US - I have entered the most recent nine visits - back to 2014 (when I first started filling in the form) but when I go back in to update the information with earlier visits, it won't let me add any more (the 'add more' info is greyed out).  I am hoping this means that it only wants that much information and not that I should have put it in the first time?  Has anyone entered more than nine visits to the US on the ds-160?  I am hoping that they think that much information is enough and not that I have messed up inputting my dates.

Other sections are still updatable - I was able to add Canada to my list of other places I have been in the past five years on that section of the form - but I only had five countries on that bit I think.

I would feel reassured if anyone else had filled in their form and gotten as far as nine and then not been able to input any previous visits.

Update: DS-160 used to only ask for the five most recent visits on earlier forms - so I think I should be okay with the most recent nine and the online form probably does limit the number of trips we can input.  I can breathe again!  Other forum threads said that you can discuss other visits at the interview if it comes up.  They just want to be sure that the information is consistent - not necessarily requiring your full travel history since the year dot...

Oh, that's helpful.  Like a lot of Canadians, my fiancé has been to the US a zillion times, starting when he was a child.  We were afraid we would have to list every single visit.  It's so nice to know that we only need to list the most recent nine.
