Update on the NVC process:

NVC sent the package to the Embassy 3 days after they received it and processed the paperwork from USCIS.

 

So good news for all the recent folks who got NOA2- NVC is now processing very fast again. I suspect the cleared out the traffic jam they had at the end of the year when USCIS slowed to a complete halt.

 

So my process through NVC was two weeks for USCIS to get the package to NVC from electronic NOA2. Less than 24 hours for NVC to process and issue an embassy number. And then 3 days for NVC to forward to the Embassy. 

 

Hope this helps you guys waiting with current time estimates.

 

Glad to see all of the approvals this week! Pray they keep them coming tonight.

Because that's just the way it is. Vermont stopped processing them ~2013, and Texas stopped in later 2014, I believe. I'm not aware of any I-129Fs still active from before then.

Just a quick one for November filers.. If you received your NOA2 between 23rd-27th January, call the NVC - they are open 7am until midnight Mon-Fri. We just did and we got our NVC despatch date and our case number. Our petition has been winging its way to the Embassy since Monday! Also, with the case number you can go ahead and apply for your visa already- that's what the NVC guy said happy Friday!!!

Don't change your plans - the cases are moving. Random dates are joining the approved list every day. 

If your case has been waiting since October then maybe calling the CSC would be helpful (as per the post above). 

 

If you are a November case, then hang on in there!  It coud be today, it could be tomorrow - give yourself a time frame.  It's probably reasonable to consider allowing to the end of February.  Whilst that seems a long way off at the moment, things move really quickly after that.  Two weeks from NOA2 you should have your case number for the embassy - then you can schedule the medical and visa interview.  This can be completed in as little as a month and not more than three months. 

 

Whilst you are waiting, get prepared for the next stage of the process so that you don't have any hold-ups.  The petitioner should compile the financial paperwork necessary - the i-134 and supporting evidence - (and post it to your fiance/e) and the beneficiary can organise the police report and any medical documentation needed for the medical exam (get vaccinations if they are not included in the cost of your medical). You can also both complete the information needed for the DS-160 for the beneficiary to file.

 

This means that once you get your case number, everything else will be ready to go.  You can schedule your medical (which is available really quickly in some places) and complete your indication of readiness and schedule your interview.  It could be just a few weeks after the NOA2 if you are prepared to move quickly.

 

Don't give up! Even if your NOA2 doesn't arrive until the end of February - you could still be together by Easter!

 

We won't.  I have to wait for my son to finish High School before I can go - and his final exam isn't until 28th June - but Aaron is coming over to visit in May so it will make the wait a little more bearable - longest we have ever been apart...

 

Anyway - hang in there - and be prepared!

Also, adding to the above, you DO NOT have to wait until you have your case number to apply for your police certificate (at least in the UK!) I applied for mine end of Jan and received it 6 working days later, having gone for the 10 working days option.

 

You can do all of this in advance, which will help you move forward with your application, medical and interview a lot faster.

I've been following this thread since early December and  have finally decided to comment.  I have a 11/21 NOA1 date and I'm just here patiently waiting like you all, but I must say that this thread has been a great resource for me and also extremely encouraging.

 

I live in a state away from most of my family and my other half is thousands of miles away, so reading the daily post have been my "support".  

 

You guys are an amazing group and I wish you all success and greatness in your upcoming nuptials.

Welcome.  My received date is also 11/21.  There seemed to be quite a lot that day.  The good news it that there have been a few 11/21 approvals lately.  We're starting to hope that we might get our NOA2 by the end of February.  Hoping for a speedy NOA2 for you!

Soon its Valentines day! So Congrats to all who have gotten their approval already & for those who are still waiting, enjoy the journey with your fiance  You will have your time and its very soon! As for me it has been just 3 days & I'm still in cloud 9 celebrating each day like a boss. haha (while fiance is complaining she has to work work work work - nonstop like Rihanna does  but of course she's very happy with the approval)

 

Our journey doesn't end with our NOA2, im happy to be part of this group and hopefully we'll stick together all through out this process!

As far as I am aware, you are unable. You have to search the cases by case number, then you can date sort them. On the iPhone USCIS Case Tracker App, you use the magnifying glass "search" function on the app. If you enter a case number (WAC17900*****), you can search numerically up to 500 cases at a time, beginning with the case number you have entered. Geowrian has written scripts to be able to search a huge range of dates for I-129Fs; if your receipt date falls on any of the dates he is tracking, it's much easier to just follow his nightly updates. But go ahead if you'd like!  If you aren't a programmer or know how to write scripts (like I am not!), you have to stick to searching for the first I-129F and the last I-129F on any calendar day by playing around with the WAC17900***** numbers nearing yours, then when you run your searches daily, you run those ranges in 500 case chunks, and sort by I-129F by clicking the I-129F option within the search results. Just play around with it.

Hi everyone!

 

I just wanted to update you guys that I received the physical NOA2 in the mail today. My case was approved on February 6th. Now time to call the NVC. How long should I wait before calling them? What is the current processing time at NVC anyone know?

 

And I joined the FB group today!
