No need to wait for NVC #.  You can use your WAC number from USCIS. We already have ours filled out and we don't have our NOA 2 yet.

Get busy:thumbs:

Jim

P.S. I found this out from the October thread last year.

Hey Jim!

Did you just save the file or went through the review and sent the file in? We completed it together and i am currently in Taipei and want to know if we can just send it in the DS 160.

Thanks !

Thank you JimJesDuma,

I figured its what they are asking for the USCIS#, otherwise it would clearly ask for NVC Receipt# or CASE# and not Petition Number :jest:

Wait, now that I have read that over again for the 10th time lol, I think you can use either both. The Application# could very well be the NVC Case# and the Petition the USCIS Receipt#, who knows. Oh well I dont think it will be a problem.

Don't be sad Nina! I was feeling like that yesterday when they skipped over to 11/19 received dates

Yours will come soon too!

i hope so! i waited 2 weeks before sending out everything waiting to get the letter of intent from him and everything else, should have not waited and had him email it like he did:( it all ended up coming a week after I sent out the application... I don't wanna spend the whole summer without him and I just got back 2 weeks ago we both absolutely hate it when I leave its the worst thing ever:( thats why we don't wanna go through that again and just wait until we get approved that way we can both attend the interview together and hopefully come back together.

I was just thinking the same thing. It's great to see people happy and getting approved but 0 cases touched for my date and I end up getting my hopes up only to be let down everyday. My fiancé and I have waited to be married for close to a year and a half now. We had plans to be married Nov 2015 in Chile, I had a dress and everything and then everything disolved in front of my eyes due to a miscommunication on his governments part and his naivety which didn't allow us to marry. We've dealt with every imaginable roadblock it seems and haven't been toghether (beside a 2 week vacation) since July. I seriously sometimes consider just pulling the K1 and going the CR1 route just so that I can be with him through the process.

Just wait a couple more! They're slowly touching those cases bit by bit. Stay strong! We all know how it feels to say goodbye and what it's like to leave our loved ones. :(

I thought about that too, but the CR1 is a longer process and I don't wanna loose my job to go over there during the process as hard as it is already.

Hey Jim!

Thanks !

Well funny story. Back when was in the October thread someone encouraged another member to fill out the DS-160 before they even had a I-129F approval. I told them not to jump the gun as it seemed people were getting ahead of themselves AND I did not even know at the time it was possible to fill the DS-160 without NVC number. I did this all 2 years ago and waited till NVC before we did DS-160 BUT you don't have to wait. Just use your WAC number from your NOA 1.

Now having said that I would NOT recommend actually submitting it to the US embassy / state department yet.

What if you are like me and have no NOA 2 yet it could be months away still we just don't know.

The file can be saved and you just have to access it every 30 days other wise it will disappear.

So fill it out up to the point of signing then once you have your NVC number I would make visa payment (foreigner's country and submit the DS-160)

Also only the foreigner can sign the form on-line not the American but the American can help fill it out if needed.

Hope this helps.

Hello VJ family! Finally got my approval today when I checked the USCIS app. It was a busy morning at work and wasn't able to check the forum and app right away. Can't contain how relieved I am! Just couldn't share it with my fiance though because he just fell asleep :/

Hope everyone gets theirs soon too! It was an 86-day wait!

Congrats Isabelleyri!

You and your honey will be together soon.

Party time.

Thanks for all your help and for starting this thread. Dunno how I could have survived my NOA2 wait without this forum.

Same here, I saw the numbers before and after me got approved, mine is still not moving. I didn't check my case status for a month, LOL, just follow up Geowrian and Vogann's list here on VJ. Because I know once mine gets approved my fiance would tell me (they will send him the text/ email notification). So I go to gym after work, exercise, try not to think about it, sometimes I feel hopeless, my mood goes up happily with all the members who got approved, and go down when I think about my case :D
