Off topic here but can anyone give me any information on what I should maybe start doing (as a fiancee) while waiting for NOA2? Much appreciated :)

Hi Isabelleyri,

You can try what im doing. Im getting all necessary documents that I might use in the future like copies of birth certificate, school records and such. I also bought a luggage where I can put new stuff in to bring - so I buy a couple of stuff every pay day to take my mind off waiting. Or you can start planning the wedding.. :)

Well here we go again update for November NOA's

As of today 12/5 there have now been a whole 12 approvals so that means in one day the USCIS processed only ONE case for I-129F of the 360 they received on 10/31/2016

I hate to say this but this is really BAD news for anyone in a rush. At this point I do not believe November NOA's will not be approved until Mid January or longer. Something is going on at USCIS CSC not sure

it if has to do with the Elections, NVC catch-ups or something else.

Oh well. <_<

Hey CSC feel free to prove me wrong and crank out 50 approvals tomorrow ( not holding breath though)

Jim

12!?? they are really taking their sweet sweet time. I sure that this will change for the next coming days :(

Hey Jim and everyone,

Thanks for reaching out Jim. Its so nice to find a group of people who are not only going through the same process, but who have similar timelines. So cool to have the support!

My Fiance is from Kenya and I am from California. We received our NOA1 on November 3rd, and still waiting (not very patiently haha) for our NOA2. Our's is at the California service center.

Really hoping that what you posted about not getting approvals until Jan is not true :( . I havent seen my fiance since March and I cant wait any longer! Positive vibes!!

Wishing everyone the best of luck!

Hey November I-129f filers!

I have a question about the "proposal date" for the interview. Do you think it matters if the date he proposed is after our I-129f filing date? During the interview, we will likely be asked when he proposed. For us it's been an ongoing thing, that we talked about since a month after we met. And he doesn't have any money to buy a ring, etc., so I'm not expecting that whole song and dance. So, we were going to do something official when I go to visit this holiday season in December when we are with his family and take pictures, etc., but I already filed my I-129f. Do you think it looks bad or weird if we say our official engagement date is December 2016 when I filed for fiance visa in November 2016? I mean we basically knew from about a month in (Feb 2016) that we wanted to get married. And we talked about it almost constantly ever since then, so, we could pick a date I went to visit in May 2016 too. Any opinions on this?

Just curious what you guys thought...if you think it looks bad or suspicious to the Consulate Officer. I heard that having an engagement date is very important.

Hey Forena,

We are in a similar situation as in having talked back and forth about marriage, and when we finally took the decision, we didn't have rings yet. I can only assume, but if I get asked that question, I will explain to them that there is no specific date, but rather a longer lasting discussion about marriage, with the rings being purchased later on in the process. So, how about you do something similar, i.e. explain to the CO that you do not have a concrete date of engagement, but that you decided to do something official once the process of K1 was set in motion?

Hi Nico,

I don't think it is accurate since we haven't heard anything from them I think its just an estimation base on the updates of our fellow visa journey friends. You can also on the right side of the page on what date of filers they are working on. I just like looking at those because I am visual I need to see something and seeing that it is moving. hahaha...

Just wanted to check in. Let's not lose hope for NOA2 coming this December just yet for those filed at the beginning of Nov (I know, I know, easier said than done; after all, we're all in the same boat...). However, as stated many times already, what we see here on VJ is not the full picture. So, there are cases from earlier in October that need to be processed, and that may mean that - especially "thanks" to Thanksgiving - we may just have to wait an additional week. Meanwhile, I'm not saying that I'm not one of the ones who impatiently awaits their NOA2, but I also try to tell myself every day that it's more than fair that those who filed before we did should get their process completed before us as well.

That being said, I hope for all of us that CSC picks up its pace and processes as many petitions as at all possible this week. Hoping that all of us can keep their spirits up.

Sending all of you guys my very best wishes!

Thanks we are all in this together. I agree, clear some more October cases out .

Well here we go again update for November NOA's

More awesome inspiring incredible news.. for the November NOA's 2's we are on track and keeping pace at as of tonight 12/6 we have ONE more approval bringing us to 14 out of 360.

They have been averaging 2 per day if we can get them up to 3 per day then all of 10/31 should be completed in March 2017 :wow:
