That's the just government covering their behinds, so to speak. If you have an iPhone (there are android apps as well), you can download the Case Tracker App and there is a search function on there (which you can find using the magnifying glass in the bottom bar of icons within the app) that some members here are using to essentially track huge numbers of applications. Geowrian posts nightly information, which you can see very recently, that shows the number of applications from end-October through Nov being processed, posting around 830-900 PST. If you want to track the applications on Nov 14, vogann very nicely posts them nightly at sites.google.com/view/nov14.

They are not, generally speaking, really working on August applications anymore, though there is the odd outlier. If you want more information on the tracking history, scroll back through the many, many pages of this forum and you will find the answer.

If you notice, it also says they are workign on applications from August and that data is "as of November 30th", which is a long time ago. Thank you so much for your help

3 digits for cases touched!!! i am 'touched' ;) (and yes, pun intended!) lol :P

But i wonder why are there so many RFEs...how can so many people can mistakes all same day NOAs....

is it possible that USCIS has to meet a target for every week and because they can’t check the entire file and process for approval, they just give some trivial RFE just so it’ll count is their daily work :( i hope not :innocent:

I wonder this too. I think it's possible - this is JUST conjecture, I have no inside information - that the applications are largely sorted by how easy they will be to approve. I'm sure there could be any number of things making an application more complex simply in terms of the physical amount of time it takes to approve (a 10-15 minute case vs a 20-25 minute case) - 1+ prior marriages and divorces, whether or not children are involved, criminal history for either party, proving they meet the requirements for meeting in person or if they don't on religious grounds, have they met the requirement, etc. Easy approvals get numbers up for case workers, so perhaps these are sailed through first to bring numbers up; then cases that may take longer to wade through are processed, and these may get RFEs if the worker decides the information isn't satisfactory. I don't know. It's all mysterious to me.

Oh well-importing someone from overseas is not cheap but seems to be well worth it.

Hey Art - Your comment of importing "someone from overseas" is very offensive and insulting.

We are not importing a commodity here!!!!

For all the right reasons we are seeking marriage with woman who we have fallen in love with and want them to spend the rest of our life with as our partner.

I suggest refraining from using such references in the future since they are highly offensive to me and not look favorably on you.

Thank you -

The cost of immigration is expensive but love knows no bounds. Maybe that would be a gentler way for him to put it.

Some people get into this journey without any idea how truly costly it can be.

The financial hits will keep coming AOS, Bio-metrics, GC, Citizenship etc.
