In my opinion the cases go to ppl there to work on when they are received there ... then it's up to the speed of the person who got your case. That's why the dates and approvals are jumping, I guess. So if you're lucky you get a quick worker with a lot of easy cases and that way a quick response.

I think instead of this, there should be a central pile from where each worker keeps picking a case as soon as theirs is done. that was no worker is sitting idle for too long. And they can be incentivized for number of cases worked in a day!

Wouldn't that be faster and better, what say? :)

I'm so glad we have Geo in this group. At least we are able to see progress each day. We have ideas about the cases being touched everyday. Tomorrow is another day. More approval :)

USCIS California service center closed due to "plumbing issues". Maybe they were using the K1 visa petitions as tissue paper, they sure haven't been working on them.

USCIS California Service Center Closed Due to Plumbing Issues

On Monday, March 25, 2013, some customers were notified of delivery delays to the USCIS California Service Center (CSC). The delays were the result of a temporary closure of CSC due to plumbing issues. The CSC will remain closed on Tuesday, March, 26, 2013. Deliveries will resume once CSC reopens. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will provide updates as they become available.

Thanks Jime this made my day today..hahhahha

I need this laughing medicine.

Just FYI, I just called USCIS on our approved petition.

If anyone runs into same problem when you find an error or need to make a correction to a approved petition, here's what happen to me. I called this morning and was hesitate to provide my information to get a question answered without jeopardizing I129F approved decision. But sometimes with USCIS you need to provide ur receipt number in order to talk to you. So I gave the first lady my receipt number, and asked her the following question. I should probably post this on a different topic but I wanted to share USCIS response if this happens to anyone.

I omitted my fiancée's children on the petition because we both thought it meant extra fees and that they were coming to the USA with my fiancée. Dumb, I know. I should of known this. When I was filling out the petition, I remember asking him to include them but he said no because the mother wont approve bringing them to the USA. So I didn't include them. While filing out DS160, it asked if he had children, I don't want to lie so I'm listing them on that form. The USCIS employee placed me on hold while she checked something for me but the line got disconnected. So I called again, a different woman answered. She was so nice and sweet, very polite and she understood our dilemma. I told her it wasn't our intention to omit the children, we just received misguided information and so I didn't list the children. I said that I was afraid that it would affect their decision for approval, she was so understanding and she assured me that wasn't going to happen. The case was sent to NVC, so at this point I need to contact them and that I didn't need to worry about USCIS about changing their mind. Whew! Now I need to call NVC and have this corrected before it reaches the embassy.

Thanks for sharing this.  Although my children aren't coming with me to the US (they are young adults) I have listed them on my i-129f.  I very nearly didn't because they weren't going to be applying for visas.  Fortunately I read something - probably elsewhere onn this forum that said to include them.  I'm sure this will be useful to others - so it was great you posted this.

I made the same error. I did not include my husband's children because they are adults in the definition of child according to immigration was under 21. I spoke to an attorney and he told me to Simply write a letter explaining the mistake and what the correction should be and where on the form. Explain why you made the mistake. And then mail the letter certified to NVC. Include your case number of course and your beneficiaries name.

Ok so I just called NVC and requested information on what the requirements are for correcting information on the approved petition. She said that it depends what kinds of changes it is. I told her about the children and I was told to send in their birthday certificate and an explanating about the needed changes. They haven't received my case yet, but that is what is required from NVC. Whew! ?

November 18th filing date and nothing yet. Waaaaaaaa :(

I am an attorney but immigration isnt my field. I didnt hire an attorney. If I screwed the application up, my fiancee will NEVER respect me haaaa!

I am really hoping we get the NOA2 before the end of the week. The only issue we might have is that I didnt do a good job explaining how we met. "We bumped into each other at a bar" which is true, but I probably should have gone into more detail than that. Now, I am second guessing everything.

Good luck to everyone and CONGRATS to those who made it through.
