That is nice! Sounds like I-134 was not needed in his visa interview.

 

Was he also able to AOS while the US citizen is not working?

I heard that the intending immigrant's income can be used in I-864. So I suppose if he filed EAD (valid for 90 days) first with a fee as soon as he arrived in the US, then found a job, then filed AOS and another 1-year valid EAD, it is possible.

That's (generally) inaccurate. The point of the I-864 is to ensure the immigrant will not become a public charge. In order to qualify to be a joint sponsor, you must either be a USC or have worked 40 quarters (10 years) legally within the US.

When a case number from your list of 5000 gets approved, do you remove it from the scan and replace it with the next number in sequence? So for example - if the last number on your list was WAC1790105350, and an earlier number got approved on the night of your most recent scan (let's say WAC1790070001 for example), do you remove that approved number from your sequence and add WAC1790105351? From what I've seen on the data sheets from each night, it seems not, but I was just wondering if you had any plans to do this at any point so that your scan reaches further each night as more approvals move in. Currently, I keep it on the list. I've seen a small handful of cases where an approved application is later updated (withdrawn or revoked), so I decided not to push the tail further up. I also like the idea of having the same data domain over a period of time. But yes, I've certainly considered dropping the approvals and rotating the new ones on there. There just hasn't been any kind of significant movement past 11/15, let alone 12/1, to actually get a benefit out of replacing the old cases with some new ones. This will likely change as we get closer to Dec. cases being processed.
