The 5000 number is because that's when the IP ban kicks in. I could do more, but I'd have to cycle IP addresses, combine files, wait another hour  to run, yada yada.

That said, my data is only for I-129Fs. It covers Oct. 31st to ~Dec. 7th. I don't scan them sequentially because I previously did that and extracted only the I-129Fs from that data set. The last WAC on my list of 5000 is 105181...way above 53000.

Geowrian,

Gotcha!  Thanks for the clarification.  :content:

I knew you knew what you were doing, he he!

It's reassuring to know that things seem to be speeding up at the CSC

I know someone who was on this show who is a friend of my brothers. His relationship was portrayed as creepy and troubling with lots of internal family strife and made his fiance look like a filipina gold digger. In reality they aren't any of those things. They are still very happily married and regret going on the show. If I recall they only made about 10k after taxes for doing the show. Which is a lot of money, but not worth the ill perception that they received around the city and from his coworkers.

This show is for entertainment only and seeks to show the rather difficult K1 process as a shame and a easy way to get to the USA while duping dumb and undesirable Americans.

Wow Ybhamster,

That's interesting.  Thanks for sharing your brother's friend's story.  I'm so glad they are still happily married.  I would be worried that something like that could jeopardize the relationship with all the outside pressures and stress.  I feel it is going to be hard enough, adapting to new environment, cultures, language and everything else.  I'd trip and fall on my a** so hard if I knew that on top of that I was on camera!  LOL!

Hi everyone.

I'm from Venezuela and I'm veeery worry and sad for Trump's executive order, that quotes:

"In addition to the seven banned countries above, the executive order also permits U.S. authorities to refuse admission to individuals from any other country or territory that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has designated as a safe haven for terrorists. Currently, the State Department lists the following areas as terrorist safe havens, meaning residents from the following countries could be refused entry into the United States:

·         Egypt
·         Lebanon
·         Afghanistan
·         Pakistan
·         Colombia
·         Venezuela
·         Southern Philippines
·         Trans-Sahara (Mali)
·         The Sulu/Sulawesi Seas Littoral

On Saturday (January 28) a U.S. federal judge temporarily suspended portions of the order to allow people with valid documentation who landed in the U.S. to stay in the country.

However, those with valid U.S. visas or green cards could be denied entry into the U.S. due to the President’s executive order."

Hi DianaLucena,

I hear your concern and know that this is troubling news.  There is no way to tell at this time what exactly will happen, however, I doubt that your visa petition will get flat out denied because of this news.  My understanding is that the decision of whether or not the beneficiary is admitted gets made at the Port of Entry (POE) point not at the Embassy level where your interview is.  It is also possible that it may cause a delay to processing those petitions from these countries, but that still remains to be seen.  Like I said, I doubt it will result in a denial.  Perhaps this is all symantics (delay vs. denial) but hang in there and don't lose hope.  Trust in the process and be vigilant in verifying they are doing their job.  That said, there are things you can do, like make phone calls to your congressman/woman, or even getting a lawyer.  These are choices you will need to look into and decide whether it is worth doing.

Congratulations to all those who received approvals so far! Hoping for a speedy path from here to visa approvals!

Waiting for an update on my case is starting to cause anxiety. On top of that, my fiance will be going through (what I presume) an ugly custody battle with his son's Mom. I think it's starting to get the best of us, and our relationship. BUT, we are together for a reason, and we've toughed it out so far! I know my complaints are so trivial compared to what other couples have endured (going a lot longer without seeing your S.O., political/financial strife), but I just hope we get a glimmer of hope this week - a touch or something! I pray to you, Thor (lol).

Here's to a better week for us that are still waiting!

My fiance's son is turning 7 in May. He's getting to the age where he'll probably spend more time with one parent than another, but legalities are still required for them. Especially if I'll want his son to take visits back to Canada with us. I'm not the petitioner, I'm the beneficiary. I'm doing all the research for my move to the States; Toronto, to Santa Ana, CA.

How old is your fiance's son? Does your fiance plan on having his son move to the States in the future?

Thank you :)

You'll be pleased to know I'm not going anywhere.  This forum has been invaluable in keeping me sane over the past two months - and I'm quite sure there will still be more moments that i'll be needing that!

Also I want to make sure everyone else gets their NOA2s - especially those who filed at the end of October.  there'll be some celebration when Jim's NOA2 comes through.  I have made some friends here and I am rooting for everyone else's visas now.  I was so delighted when I woke up, and through my early morning fuzzy eyes, scrolled through the posts in my inbox to read the forum updates this morning - lookinng for geowrian's report and saw how many cases were handled yesterday.  I blinked hard - I never trust what I think my eyes are telling me for the first hour after I wake up. I thought to myself - that's great, we might hear something before Valentine's Day if they keep going at that rate...

And when my phone buzzed I was catching up with posts on here, working my way towards the big screen version of the stats on my pc, - easier to trust than the tiny font on my phone-and looking forwarrd to seeing how those stats broke down (I am such a nerd sometimes) - but before I could get to geowrian's post - BZZZZZZZZZZ!

I sighed thinking it was more chat about my friends 40th birthday this week - or a message from the office. So you can imagine my surprise!

Hurray!  I won't feel awkward this weekend wondering if I should tell people who have booked their flights that I might not actually be able to make it to my own wedding :D

Right - now you lot - it's your turn!

Congrats

What was your partner's reaction?

Off to NVC for you both.:dancing:
