I think Geowrian (correct me if I am wrong) had originally (the first day or two) done 20,000, but due to IP ban problems and the amount of time it took to do a workaround for such a huge number of applications, has limited the search to 5,000 daily. I think as it is the search takes quite a while and not many folks have that much time in the day to sit around and crunch those numbers!!

Mmm..kinda. I actually scanned about 58,000 total the first time through. Then I pulled out only the I-129Fs, which came out to ~5800 cases. I then cut that down to the 5,000 due to the IP ban for simplicity. I don't scan any numbers between the I-129Fs.

You are right, the limit is 5000 per search. So it took a lot of time to run enough searches of the whole database to compile 5000 k-1's from the huge numbers of other petitions. He mentioned that he's working on batching the next 5000 numbers but it is slow going.

I also noticed in getting familiar with this data today that there are about 100 duplicates in this batch, at least one of which was counted as an approval twice today. At least we won't run out of fun while we are waiting! :)  Sorry, geowrian.. Regardless, your help is invaluable!

Good catch! I removed the 100 dupes from the master list so they won't be scanned twice in the future. I added the next 100 from the "overflow" to that to make a clean 5000 again. I also checked for dupes in the overflow first. :)  Sorry about that...when I did my initial 58,000 scan, it got interrupted twice and I tried to restart it where it left off, but apparently I went back too far. That does cut down on approvals, but it also decreased the number of unworked applications by even more.

Edit: A quick check...we lost 1 approval (not from today), 1 RFE (not from today), and 74 unworked cases (total) by removing the dupes. I would call that a net gain.

Hello guys, I am searching everywhere the answer of my question but i find contradictory information all the time so maybe someone can help me here.

I have been approuve on 24th january, and to save money i have move back to my parents house until my leaving for USA (i am living in France). The question is, how i can change my adress because all the form who exist is about  people who live in America, i have made follow my mail but i am worried. I really wnat to chnage my adress but i really don't know how to do it, do i have to see it with the ambassade ? Do i have to do it before ? i am lost.

Thank you by advance for your help.

Bumping this question.

as far as I know you can always update your address here https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do, but I think that's just for the petitioner in the US

You're gonna be entering your address on other forms once you move forward (eg DS-160 and all) but I'm not sure if you having another address at the start would make any difference.

hope someone else can answer this clearer. Sorry if that's all I have for now @butterfly789

Is there a Change My Address page on the USCIS.gov website when you log in?

At the bottom of the "Check Your Case Status" page.  Does that not work for NOA2s?

Or what about your profile page on the USCIS.gov site?  That's where I see my address as the beneficiary of the petition.

Do they even mail anything to the beneficiary?  Other than the actual visa, of course.

My partner received a letter today but it was just asking for more information :( I suppose im happy that they have looked at the application but its a little disappointing as i didnt come across this website until after he had submitted the application so a few things were missing.

Any idea's on process times after we have sent in the information they have requested? I really dont want to wait another 3-4 months for an answer #impatient

Once you send it in hopefully you will not have to wait more than 45 days for an answer. It just depends who has your case. Sometimes the NOA 2 shows up a week later and other times several months later.

Just be sure to make a photocopy of the letter they send to you. Make a photocopy of everything that is sent with the RFE in the event that the post office or USCIS loses the response. It has happened to people right here on this forum. Finally send it via USPS Priority mail which comes with free delivery confirmation.

You may be able to update your VJ timeline with the RFE info.

Good luck.

Ok this has been discussed on other places here on the forum in the years past but I haven't seen it come up in this thread.

Any one here who would be brave enough to do a reality TV show?

Not me....LOL

I'm out haha

I know a lot of it is staged or guided reality but still it is mildly entertaining but sometimes down right horrifying on the other hand $$$ to those who end up on the show.

In addition to what Jim says I would track your case with one of the case tracker apps. You will see your case status currently as "Request for additional evidence mailed". After you send it in the case status should say "Request for evidence was received" after a few days. This way you know they received it.

April 22, 2020 - I-751 sent

April 23, 2020 - I-751 received at Lockbox

April 29, 2020 - Check cashed

Yes as it accesses the USCIS database and will give your current case status. VJ timeline is guesstimate on your approval. If you use apple products I believe it's called USCIS Case Tracker. It's a free app. I've attached a photo. Just enter your case number and you can track it. You will find out when it's approved right away instead of waiting for mail notification.
