Thank you very much for the information.  I will start reading and ry to follow this thread.

 

Can you tell me, out of interest, where does the Processing Times list get its information?  If it's so off, why does it exist?

The processing times on here simply go by the reports from members.  So if someone who submitted an application at the end of November gets approved by some miracle - the VJ timeline goes by that I think - rather than the other twenty peoplegetting their approvals on the same date whose date is at the end of October.

 

On this thread you will find a lot more information from several members who are doing searches on the USCIS app - and some very lovely people who are going a step or two further and doing some great reserach on what is going on.  We are all waiting. We are all here to help. If you have the time to read over someo fo the earlier pages I'm sure you'll find it really helpful. There is a LOT of information here x

I have a feeling we'll still all be checking in - maybe a facebook group for the November 2016 filers?  so that we can share pictures of wedding anniversaries, maybe babies for the younger couples, citizenship ceremonies...

beneficiary country doesn't seem to make any difference at the NOA1/NOA2 stage.  Cases seem to be handled pretty much in date order (ish)

Not really. I didn't see that on USCIS stage, between NOA1-NOA2, it has any impact on a petition. Final stage where the beneficiary goes to the Embassy for an interview is a different story. Some embassies like to give K1 people very hard times. But it definitely doesn't apply to Canada.

Actually, the only Canadian embassy that handles K1s now is pretty strict from what I've read. I don't think they give people a hard time like in certain other countries...but you do want to have your ducks in a row.
