Thanks for the information VinceKath... our case was also received 11/3 with NOA1 dated for 11/7 and received text/email 11/8.
I hope we do only have 9 days left! So happy to hear that 21 cases for our date were approved yesterday. If its not too much trouble could you keep me updated/post your findings?

Sure thing! I can keep you updated.

Ybhamster, would you please provide that data? I am really interested to look at those stats. Thank you!

I have failed to find the actual studies, but I did get the data from an article from Center for Immigration Studies who pulled from their studies as well as information from the US Census Bureau as well as other agencies. :(

Hi Mnaeimfahmi,

Our case was also received on the 11/3. I have actually been tracking the 11/3 case received dates myself. Out of 177 "Case Was Received" status as of January 23rd, 21 got approved yesterday 01/24. If this trend continues, we would be looking at around 9 working days until they look at all 177 cases.

Let's look at the glass half full here. Yesterday I saw the most cases approved compared to any other day in the past month and a half. And that makes me excited! As for immigration laws, I'd like to think that it also needs to go to process and will not happen overnight. I hope that none of the K1 filers get affected by it. Let's all hope for the best! Good luck to you and your fiancé.

Hi Vince,

In addition to the 21 there are RFE's each day as well so if you add those number in then in theory it could take less than the 9 working days however this is immigrations so no promises.

There are cases from September and October that have yet been approved.

Hopefully today they clear out many more.

Jim

Hi Ybhamster who provided this stat? It sound WAY too low. Only 54% of I-129F's make through from petition to marriage in the US? I find that hard to believe.

From CIS, so I apologize the data shows 54 percent get married not 34 percent. Way different number.

This wait really sucks because we never know when it will finally be over. And yet, a year or so from now we will all look back thinking, in hindsight it wasn't so bad - while waiting for GC to arrive in the mail ;) Anyway. C'mon, CSC, choose your boxes wisely today ;)

I definitely agree. We will all get there eventually, but the waiting sucks. At least the data seems to show that things are speeding up. Hopefully, they will start processing like crazy and work 7 days a week. :)

It's okay, thanks for taking your time, Ybhamster. I know what our stats will look like, 100% successful marriage. The long distance relationships are not for weak-spirited people. We've been through a lot already, yet it's only the beginning. The immigration process along with a huge adjustment to the new culture is a long and bumpy road. I beleive all those obstacles are given to us to learn to appreciate our significant others more.

Guys, while you all are waiting, would you mind to share whether you've developed plans already with your fiances, how they are going to adapt to their new life in America? What are the first things you are going to take care of? ESL classes? Driving lessons (in my country many women, especially mature ladies, do not drive, for instance)? Going to college? Looking for a job right away?

I agree. It only makes our relationships stronger. The ups and down in an LDR are still there just like an local relationship. We all know our fiances really well or we wouldn't be taking this step.

Yes I've been developing plans--with my fiance of course. But necessarily I need to take the lead because I am the one familiar with things in America. So a driver's license is pretty much required here, and that will get handled pretty early on. I am also looking into places we could go so she can make new friends who share her culture, so that she won't feel too lonely. Her English is very good. I am fortunate enough that she will not need to work if she does not want to, although I am fine if she wanted to do so, or to study.
