Anyway, this is not going anywhere soon. , So question to this community is, how many of you have already or planning to get prenuptial agreement? Of course, if you have any assets

We both have assets and we are doing pre-nup. Even though we both are positive that this will be our final marriage (kind of experienced enough, lol), we decided to sort things out in advance in case something goes wrong.

Surely,  that is the way to go. No one  here wants divorce, but prenup is just like a car insurance, hopefully never will need to use it but just in case, is there.

Initial scan completed...off to work (darn weekdays!), but I'm going to put this out there so you guys can run the data however you want. I'm still working on the daily-update pieces. These are ONLY K1 apps.

Note: There's a bug with a few cases that show a future date. This is because USCIS....for some reason...doesn't have a date updated field on those cases, so my script mistakenly pulled the date from the wrong part of the status. These are are very few and far between, but that's why there's a few cases with February dates in the data.

This covers K1s from 1790048000 to 1790108000.

Thanks for doing this.  If I read this right, in the past 3 months, we have:

  • Only 167 cases have been approved
  • 543 cases have been been withdrawn, rejected, or RFE
  • 4817 are waiting for approval

Splendid job mate. Although the numbers aren't as promising as we'd like, it gives us a better perspective on things at USCIS.

Thanks a tonne mate. ?

I don't think that's what it shows.  To me, the chart is showing the number of each item that was worked on each day.  It does not show approvals by file date.  So there is no way to say that Nov. 14th filers got approved from this chart.

Interesting information.  Prenups are a hot button topic amongst couples that are engaged.  I generally hear two schools of thought:

"If you want a prenup, you are already planning on failing - so why bother getting married?"

vs.

"Getting a prenup is like buying car insurance.  I don't plan on using it, but happier to have it if needed"

I can see one also wanting to protect assets for children that are already born or if one spouse has a sizable estate vs. the other.  I have a good friend that's a family law attorney.  His biggest recommendation to couples before getting married is to make sure both you and your finance's finances are under control.  He said money issues and not having a clear expectation on finances is the main underlaying factor in the divorces that he sees in his practice.

Work hard, save, but spend wisely!

See, that some of us have right set of mind. Reality is that love have nothing to do with marriage. We are getting into bonding business relationship, with permission from state you are living in, with person that financial differences may just be to huge to ignore, in name of some filling that we have. It is really awful situation if business of marriage will default at some point. And what's fair will not necessary be the outcome of worst  case scenario.  I am really looking forward to spend rest of my life with my future wife.

Oh i just assumed since the case numbers before and after the one that was approved were received nov. 14. Maybe i was wrong to assume that. I just thought that USCIS assigns case numbers chronologically, according to when they were received.

Correct. Albeit the case numbers are almost always from around the same exact NOA1 time, so that's something at least. There's certainly a handful of mid-nov. and even a few Dec. filers that have had their case worked on. Unfortunately, we can't see their original timeline from USCIS...only the last time the case was touched.
