We just weren't ready, we decided we'd rather do the interview when we're both in a space where we're ready to do it - than just do it and hope for the best when we both knew that it wasn't the right thing to do at the time.

Honestly, we didn't really expect to get approved so quickly - everywhere I'd read said its a process that would take around 10 months. So to get approved so quickly kinda threw us off a little and we had to re-adjust our plans. But we're both ready to go now, and very excited

I started checking right away, but it took a day or so for them to put it into their system, so our receipt number only worked about a day after we got the email; before, there was an error message.

Yes, I got mine 1 week after the text.

Nearly all of the alerts from USCIS happen in the evening.

That must be when they update there database

I notice in your signature that our noa is dated 11-3. According to USCIS website ours is 10/31/2016.

*sigh* the holidays are coming in.

I wish and my f are together. I wish there is something that I can do so I can come and see her during the holidays. It breaks my heart that she needs to spend it alone

The date to input on VJ timeline for NOA 1 Form I-797C is the date on the hard copy paper notice in the upper right hand side "Notice Date"

I'm not sure where I got 11/3 from.

October 31 is just the date they got our files. The NOA 1 date is different.

Let me know exactly what your NOA 1 says and I'll update my signature line here.

I'm happy to see so many approvals lately. We should have more surprises tonight.

As excited as I am I hope the October folks get cleared out first as they have been waiting longer.

Yeah I know it's hard to be apart. May Skype or Facetime more often if possible.

11/17 is just the date they got your package, next they open it up and load some info into their system and send you a text which occurred on 11/22

Your NOA 1 date is on the letter itself which should be to you in a few days.

Yes we are online 24/7 I just feel really bad about it. I feel some sort of regret because I opted to apply for the k1 first instead of getting a tourist visa and then apply for k1.
